This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.

Problem:
The client is trying to understand how the WPML Translation Editor handles new fields for translation in Elementor, and whether changes in one language automatically reflect in another.
Solution:
If you're experiencing issues with WPML and Elementor where changes in one language do not automatically sync with other translations, you will need to manually edit the translation of the page to reflect changes made in the original. For a different layout in translations using Elementor, avoid using WPML's Translation Editor. Instead, use Elementor's editor directly for the translations. This approach allows for different layouts in different languages. However, ensure to select this method before translating pages built with Elementor. If translations already exist and were done using WPML's Translation Editor, you should move them to the trash and delete them permanently before starting the translation again using Elementor. Follow the steps in this guide for more details: Using Different Translation Editors for Different Pages.

Please make a full site backup before proceeding with these steps.

Background of the issue:
I am trying to publish a new Section on the English version of our site (original) using WPML. The site URL is hidden link. I want to know how WPML Translation Editor recognizes these fields for translation.

Symptoms:
No specific issue or error message mentioned.

Questions:
When does the WPML Translation Editor recognize new fields for translation?
Is there a manual button to make WPML recognize the new section on the original?
Does WPML automatically inject this section in the German site if we fill out the fields in the WPML Translation Editor?

So what is the answer to the issue? And what is if we move an Element in one Language in Elementor. Does it also automatically move in the Translation?

Greetings

Hi,

You asked: " And what is if we move an Element in one Language in Elementor. Does it also automatically move in the Translation?"

No, you will need to edit the translation of the page so that the change from the original will be reflected in the translations.

Itamar.

Hi,

Use the method explained in the following guide if you want a different layout for the Elementor translations.

https://wpml.org/documentation/translating-your-contents/using-different-translation-editors-for-different-pages/

This means you don't use WPML's Translation Editor to edit the translations of pages created with Elementor. You use Elementor's editor for the translations. In this way, you can make a different layout.

However, you must select this method before translating pages built with Elementor. If the translations already exist were done with WPML's Translation Editor, you must move them to the trash section and delete them permanently. Then, you can start the translation again using the method from the guide I shared.

**** Important! Please make a full site backup (files and DB) before you proceed with those steps****

Regards,
Itamar.
