This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.

Problem:
The client is experiencing issues with duplicating pages for translation using WPML on a site originally in pt_BR, with English as the main language. The problem manifests as a visual glitch where the Hero Image duplicates over the content, causing layout breaks when WPML is enabled or when starting a new page and importing templates.
Solution:
We recommend following these steps to address the issue:
1. Refer to the WPML guide on how content duplication works: https://wpml.org/documentation/translating-your-contents/displaying-untranslated-content-on-pages-in-secondary-languages/#duplicating-content
2. If you prefer to manage translations manually rather than using automatic translations, edit the page or post in the primary language and set the “Translate the document” option to “WordPress Editor”. Detailed steps can be found here: https://wpml.org/documentation/translating-your-contents/using-different-translation-editors-for-different-pages/

If this solution does not resolve your issue, or if it seems outdated or irrelevant to your specific case, we highly recommend checking related known issues at https://wpml.org/known-issues/, verifying the version of the permanent fix, and confirming that you have installed the latest versions of themes and plugins. I've seen on the top of the Topic page:

"Tagged: Not WPML issue"

As it doesn't happen without WPML, I'd kindly ask to remove that tag, I assume I didn't add it from my side

I'll keep looking forward on the way to make WPML work with Pro Theme / Cornerstone

Thank you very much and best regards

Hey there,

ThemeCo Support Staff helped me to solve that. Here's a link:

And here are their comments on how to have it done flawlessly.

"There are two supported methods: one using WPML > Translation Management, and the other using the built-in language switcher directly in Cornerstone."

"To give an example of the Cornerstone method. We created a new page in English (EN) called “Test EN”, then selected “Header EN” and “Footer EN” under the Layout and Assignments section. As described in the documentation, to translate the page into another language (e.g., Brazilian Portuguese), we clicked the BR language flag, copied the content from the EN version, then edited it as needed. We also selected the appropriate header and footer for the BR version. We followed the same process for Spanish (ES) and French (FR) languages."

"If you prefer using WPML > Translation Management, start by creating the EN page (or the base language of your choice), assign the relevant headers and footers, then save it."

"Then go to WPML > Translation Management, find the new page in the Pages tab, select it, and proceed to Step 2. You can choose to translate automatically or select “Translate Myself”. This sends the translation to the queue, which you can manage under WPML > Translations: hidden link"

"Translating directly in Cornerstone is faster and more straightforward. If you prefer managing everything from a central interface or want to avoid creating separate pages for each language, WPML’s Translation Management is a better option."

I hope this can help others to find the solution when they look for it.

Thank you Kor and Itamar for your relevant help on this.
