I just install WPML to my website and I got some other errors (already opened ticket for this issue on -> https://wpml.org/forums/topic/there-has-been-a-critical-error-on-this-website-26/) than I deactivated plugin. After deactivation I saw lots of duplicated pages in the admin panel. After WPML auto translate; lots of pages duplicated. Same pages even posts, services etc lots of time duplicated... Here is one example attached image. How can I solve this issue? Note: First time wpml installed this website. Website: hidden link |

Hello There, I understood that after deactivating the WPML plugin, you're seeing duplicate posts on the backend of WordPress. When you're translating posts or pages using WPML, it creates a replica of the default post so that you can add the translated content as per your needs. Both the default and replicated pages are linked together through unique IDs added by WPML and can only be accessible by switching languages. Now, when you're deactivating the WPML plugin, that connection between the default and the translated page gets disrupted. As WPML no longer manages the translation relationship, posts in every language will be listed in one place as duplicates. However, from the debug info, I can see that two additional languages are activated on your site. Even if you keep the WPML plugin deactivated, two duplicates of each post should appear in the list. The amount of duplicate posts you're seeing is a bit unusual. Can you please share a full screenshot of the page? So that I can see which post types the post belongs to and let you know an update soon. Best Regards, |

Hi There, Thanks for sharing the link. I have checked the link and can see the duplicate post. Please be informed that each post consists of a unique post ID and I also have found some posts in Russian language also. If you no longer using the Russian language, then please read the documentation below carefully and delete the Russian content from the site. - https://wpml.org/faq/how-to-completely-remove-a-language-from-your-site/ This documentation will help you to delete all the contents of the language that you're not using. Now, for the Spanish posts, since you're using the Spanish language on your site, you can find and connect the Translated posts with the default contents. The steps are mentioned in the documentation below. - https://wpml.org/faq/how-to-link-already-translated-pages/ Otherwise, you can bulk-select all the posts and delete them. After that, closely monitor if any duplicate posts or pages are getting generated or not when the WPML is activated. If so, kindly share the specific actions or steps that trigger the generation of these duplicates. I will check accordingly and let you know the update. Best Regards, |
