Hi, I asked the second-tier support about the glossary in our internal issue tracker. It might take time but I will update you as soon as I have news. thank you for your patience. Meanwhile, if it is ok with you , I'd appreciate it if you could give me the URL/User/Pass of your WordPress dashboard after you make sure that you have a backup of your website. Make sure you set the next reply as private. |

Hi, I have got an initial answer from the second tier support. If the Glossary item is with a type that will be used without translation it should work on all engines. But with a type that you translate the glossary with other word it is only limited to DeepL. From what I understand you have the second type and unfortunately, you will; need the DeepL translation engine to have the option available for you. Thanks. |

So should I use the other type? the "name" one can work with the WPML AI? I saw that in the new update, you can apply glossary terms after you translated the pages. how I make it happen without translating everything again? |

Hi, Thank you for your patience. The Glossary method that you used was General Term and unfortunately it is not possible to use that with translation engines other than DeepL. So the translation you added will not show the glossary. The name glossary mode can be shown by other translation engines. I asked the second tier support if the update button if you add the word with NAME will reduce credits or not. I will answer back when I have an update. But for now please test by adding a glossary from WPML > Translation Management > Toolse > Glossary and click the update button to see what happens. As it is for one glossary at least you can test. Thanks. |

Hi, I have an answer from the second tier: If you click the update button for a glossary it should not consume credits, but if you send the items for translation it will use credits. |

Hi, Please follow the steps below: - IMPORTANT STEP! Create a backup of your website. Or better approach will be to test this on a copy/staging version of the website to avoid any disruption of a live website. For more information: Then go to the Glossary in question do an edit there and add it as a Name and then it should show the Glossary update button. Thanks. |

Hi, Thank you for testing that. It seems the option is not changing. I am in consultation with our second tier support about this. I will get back to you as soon as I have an answer. |

Hi, Please follow the steps below: - Make sure you also add glossary items that are in other cases (upper/lower) We did that for the link in question and it worked: hidden link We added another glossary entry: vacuum forming So you have two entries now: Vacuum Forming Also the page needed to be reviewed. After the review was completed it worked (we waited for 10 minutes after clicking the glossary update button) Thanks. |
