[Resolved] I've got 4 translations that seem to be stuck (spinning forever).
This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.
Problem: You are trying to translate items on your WordPress site using WPML, but the translations are stuck with spinners, and you are receiving an error message indicating that synchronization with the Professional Translation service has failed. Solution: If you're experiencing this issue, we recommend you follow these steps: 1. Ensure you have a full backup of your website. 2. Navigate to WPML → Translation Management. 3. In the Jobs tab, cancel the translation job. 4. Go to WPML > Support > Troubleshooting and click on
Synchronize local jobs with ATE jobs
,
Synchronize translators and translation managers with ATE
, and
Refresh Translation Services
. 5. Edit the page that was stuck, make a small change to the content, save it, and resend the page for translation.
If this solution does not resolve your issue or seems irrelevant due to being outdated or not applicable to your case, we highly recommend checking related known issues at https://wpml.org/known-issues/, verifying the version of the permanent fix, and confirming that you have installed the latest versions of themes and plugins. Additionally, you can open a new support ticket for further assistance at WPML support forum.

Thank you for sharing the details. Please make sure to have a full website backup and follow the steps below:
1. Go to WPML → Translation Management.
2. Switch to the Jobs tab and cancel the translation job.
3. Go to WPML > Support > Troubleshooting and click on "Synchronize local jobs with ATE jobs", on "Synchronize translators and translation managers with ATE" and on "Refresh Translation Services";
4. Finally, edit the page that was stuck and make a small change to the content. Save the change and resend the page for translation.
I have tried what you explained but now if I try to translate one of the pages that wouldn't translate I am redirected to the Block Editor view instead of the usual translation page on which I need to Complete Translation...
What's the issue at the moment? Please clarify what's happening and what should be happening instead.
Besides that, I would like to request temporary access (wp-admin and FTP) to your site to take a better look at the issue. It would be better to a testing site where the issue is replicated.
You will find the needed fields for this below the comment area when you log in to leave your next reply. The information you will enter is private which means only you and I can see and have access to it.
Maybe I'll need to replicate your site locally. For this, I’ll need to temporarily install a plugin called “Duplicator” or "All in One WP Migration" on your site. This will allow me to create a copy of your site and your content. Once the problem is resolved I will delete the local site. Let me know if this is ok with you.
IMPORTANT
- Please make a backup of site files and database before providing us access.

I just tried again : created a new page in the main language (french) and translated it to english. Now it works. Yesterday the page would duplicate itself but the texts would still be in french. I don't know what changed.
