Background of the issue:
I am developing a site and want to minimize web space usage for media attachments. I aim to use the same image across all translations and copies, including feature images and videos.

Symptoms:
Some images are not shown in translated custom posts, specifically in an ACF image field and the post feature image.

Questions:
What should I use in the media settings to ensure images are displayed correctly in all translations?
How can I configure WPML to minimize web space usage for media attachments?

Subject: Guidance on Your WPML Support Query

Hello,

Thank you for contacting WPML support. Before a supporter is assigned to your ticket, I’d like to provide some preliminary guidance regarding your query.

Please follow these steps to address the issue:

1. Navigate to **WPML > Settings > Media Translation**.
2. Ensure the following options are checked:
- Translate existing media in all languages
- Duplicate existing media for translated content
- Duplicate the featured images for translated content
3. Click the **Start** button and allow the process to complete.

4. Set the ACF field to copy and update the page/post.

Note: While WPML duplicates the media, the actual media files on the server remain unchanged. Instead, a database entry is created for the same media files.

For more details, you can refer to the official documentation here: https://wpml.org/documentation/getting-started-guide/media-translation/.

Please let us know if these steps resolve your issue or if you need further assistance.

Best regards
