This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.

Problem:
After translating taxonomies for categories, listing directory, and events categories, selecting the second language results in all pages being blank.
Solution:
We have identified that the issue is related to the custom code in your child theme. We recommend consulting with the developer who added the custom code, as we are unable to provide support for custom code according to our support policy. When we tested with the parent theme, everything worked correctly, indicating that the problem lies within the child theme's customizations.

Please note that this solution might not be relevant if it's outdated or not applicable to your case. If the issue persists, we encourage you to open a new support ticket. We also highly recommend checking the related known issues, verifying the version of the permanent fix, and confirming that you have installed the latest versions of themes and plugins. Hi Drazen

All good, don't worry had a question regarding some other settings, but have left ALL preset selections as they were and migrated site.

Hi Drazen

The site has migrated - all yours. Or do i need to first go to cloudways and do anything Connect Domain, Enable SSL etc

Can i still use/make changes to the site while this process is in place?

To replicate the issue simply click on the language switcher and when in Italian basically all pages are blank.

What i had done prior to the issue:

Began translating Pages first without any problems - everything translated and displayed correctly except for the Directory Category/ Directory Locations Widgets (Directorist Widgets) as I believe because they did not have a language set they would not display until translated. I assumed this was normal and for that reason after i had translated main pages I decided to look at Templates, Categories and other Taxonomies thinking that these would all become visible once translated.

I started on the Template first (simple global widgets, buttons etc) then Taxonomy Translations, for Categories, Listing Directory and Events Categories, Listing Locations all in one go BEFORE checking the site again.

After this point, when clicking on the language switcher the page would load blank.

One strange thing that i did notice when in the Listing Directory was there there was an additional Directory displayed - but in the primary language of Italian
Our site primary language is English
I went to the Directorist Plugin > Directory Builder and noticed that there too was an additional Directory - called General.
I 100% did not create this additional directory - so i deleted it.
It still appears in WPML > Taxonomy Translations > Listing Directory

Hello,

thanks, I have checked and seems the issue is caused by your child theme, since I see there is some custom code being used there I suggest further checking with a developer who added it, as we can not support custom code per our support policy.

With the parent theme it works just fine: hidden link

Is it not a little strange that all was working well until the Taxonomies were translated?

And what about the generation of another directory in Italian...how do we remove this from the Taxonomy to be translated?

Also is it possible to un-translate the taxonomies so I could translated one taxonomy at a time to pin point which/what causes this issue?

Hello,

I can not know that, since this would need us to debug your custom code to see why it worked before.

We limit 1 issue per 1 ticket, to keep things clear and easy to follow. I have opened a new ticket for your new issue:

It is not possible to un-translate, but you can go to your regular taxonomy menu for example Posts > Categories, choose language and delete them.
