This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.

Problem:
The client has cloned their staging site (staging.hposkam.nl) to a live site (hposkam.nl) and WPML has detected a new address, asking whether to mark it as a copy or as a new address.
Solution:
If you're experiencing a similar issue where your staging site has been cloned to a live site, we recommend marking the original site as a copy. This allows you to manage translations effectively on both sites. For detailed guidance on how to mark your site as a copy using the Advanced Translation Editor, please visit our documentation: Using Advanced Translation Editor when you move or use a copy of your site.

Please note that this solution might be outdated or not applicable to your specific case. We highly recommend checking related known issues at https://wpml.org/known-issues/, verifying the version of the permanent fix, and confirming that you have installed the latest versions of themes and plugins. If the issue persists, please open a new support ticket.

Background of the issue:
Staging.hposkam.nl is cloned to the live website: hposkam.nl. Staging.hposkam.nl is still running, but is only for testing. Hposkam.nl is my live website.

Symptoms:
WPML detected a new address for this site with 2 options: Yes / this is only a copy - original site is still running, No / I changed the address of the site to this new one.

Questions:
What is the best option for me?

Hi there.

Mark the original site as a copy to be able to translate on both sites. That's the best option.
