This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.

Problem:
You are using the WPML plugin with the Flatsome theme on your WordPress site and are facing issues where translated strings do not appear on the front page. Additionally, after attempting some fixes, the footer string disappeared and cannot be translated.
Solution:
To resolve the issue of translated strings not appearing on the front page and to recover the missing footer string:
1. Navigate to WPML >> String Translation page.
2. Click on the Translate texts in admin screen link at the bottom of the page.
3. Search for the string and enable its translation.
4. Assign the correct source language and add the translation of that string.
5. Clear the cache to see the updated translation.
For further details, you can refer to the WPML documentation on finding strings that don't appear on the string translation page and how to change the source language of strings.
For translating footer menus:
1. Go to WPML >> WP Menu Sync page.
2. Select the Spanish footer items and press the Apply changes button.
3. Complete the translation of the footer custom links from WPML >> String Translation page.
4. After completing the translation, go back to WPML >> WP Menu Sync page and press the Sync button.
For more details on menu synchronization, refer to translating menus.
If these steps do not resolve your issue or if you need further assistance, we recommend checking related known issues at https://wpml.org/known-issues/, verifying the version of the permanent fix, and confirming that you have installed the latest versions of themes and plugins. Background of the issue:
I am using the WPML plugin to manage translations on my WordPress site, specifically with the Flatsome theme. I have been trying to translate certain strings to display them correctly on the front page of my site hidden link.

Symptoms:
1) After translating some strings, they do not appear on the front page.

2) After following WPML forum advice, including increasing memory limit and refreshing cache, the footer string disappeared and cannot be translated.

Questions:
How can I resolve the issue where translated strings do not appear on the front page?
What steps should I take to recover and translate the missing footer string that disappeared?

Hi,

Thank you for contacting WPML Support. To take a closer look at this issue, please provide temporary access (WP-Admin and FTP Login info) to your site (preferably staging site), so that I can look into your setup and debug the issue.

I’ve enabled a private input box for your next reply.

=== Please backup your database and website ===

✙ I would additionally need your permission to deactivate and reactivate Plugins and the Theme and to change configurations on the site. This is also a reason the backup is really important.

Thank you

- For translating the header string and footer widgets title, I’ve followed the below steps:

1. Went to WPML >> String Translation page.
2. Click on the Translate texts in admin screen link at the bottom of the page.
3. Searched for the string.
4. Enabled it’s translation as you can see in the attached screenshot.
5. Went to WPML >> String Translation page, assign the correct source language, and added the translation of that string.
6. Cleared the cache and it seems to be shows correct translation as you can see in the attached screenshots.

You may follow the same steps to translate other admin strings.

Here are docs for more details:

- For translating the Footer menus, I went to WPML >> WP Menu Sync page, selected the Spanish footer items and pressed the Apply changes button as you can see in the attached screenshot.

1. Please complete the translation of the footer custom links from WPML >> String Translation page, you can directly access them using the below links:
