Background of the issue:
I have 4 different contact forms on my site, all with a 'select' option. I am trying to translate these options using WPML.

Symptoms:
Translated 'select' options in the contact forms are not working correctly; all options are combined into one.

Questions:
Why are the translated 'select' options combining into one?
How can I fix the translation issue with the 'select' options in my contact forms?

Hello There,
Thanks for contacting WPML Support.

I understand the issue you’re experiencing. After reviewing the WPML debug info, I noticed that the Elementor PRO plugin is active on your site, so I’m assuming the form was created using Elementor PRO.

When translating the form, it’s possible that the Translation Editor omitted the line breaks for the options, which could be why all the options in the translation appear on one line. Could you please try the following steps to see if they help resolve the issue?

- Temporarily disable the “I prefer bigger segments” feature in ATE. To do so-
-- Go to the top right corner of the translation editor.
-- Click the gear icon.
-- Disable the “I prefer bigger segments” option.
-- Refresh the original page and translate your content.

Please try and let me know how it goes. I'll be happy to help if you need further assistance in this matter.

Best regards,
Prosenjit

Hi Prosenjit.

Thank you, it worked perfectly!

Is it possible to keep the 'I prefer bigger segments' enabled? Or not an option when using contact forms with 'option selection'?

Have a great day.

Hi There!
Thank you for the update.

I'm glad the suggestion helped to solve the issue! You can absolutely keep the "Bigger Segments" option enabled. However, if you'd like to display words or sentences on separate lines, you can temporarily disable the option, add your translation, and save the changes. Once you're done, you can re-enable it as needed.

For your information, our developers are aware of this and are actively working on enhancing the functionality of the "Bigger Segments" option.

I hope you can understand. Feel free to let me know if you have any other questions or need clarification. I'll be happy to help.

Best regards,
Prosenjit
