Problem:
You are trying to change the default language code from 'en' to 'us' in WPML, but the documentation does not provide information on how to do this.
Solution:
Firstly, it's important to note that you cannot change an existing language code directly. However, you can assign or change the language code to existing content by following the instructions here: https://wpml.org/faq/how-can-i-assign-or-change-language-code-to-existing-content/
After addressing the above, you can change the default language by:
1. Navigating to WPML > Languages > Site Languages.
2. Clicking on the "Change Default Language" button and switching to the desired language.
