Background of the issue:
I am trying to have a speedy website for hidden link.
We have done all the default things we could find on the internet. No matter what we do WPML just makes up for over 50% of the loadtime for a front end page. This is a shop so caching is not going to help.
And with the addons we need from WPML, it makes even over 200% extra load time.
Without WPML and addons: 4 seconds load time
With WPML and addons: 12.5 seconds load time
Yes of course a default theme without any other plugins will be faster. But that's NOT the point here.
The point is when they are active, they slow stuff SO MUCH DOWN.
Please advice or is there any indication when WPML be faster?
Symptoms:
When WPML is active, it's just so slow.

How to properly speed this stuff up?
