This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.

Problem:
You are trying to translate a pattern on your site and have successfully translated it into SK, but you are unable to send it for translation to EN. This pattern is used sitewide on a massive amount of pages.
Solution:
Ensure you are following the correct workflow by creating a new job for the pattern at WPML > Translation Management > Dashboard and accessing the translation via WPML > Translations. Please avoid editing translations of templates, template parts, menus and patterns of Block Themes directly inside Site Editor, as this could break your site's display conditions.

If this solution does not resolve your issue or seems outdated, please check the related known issues, verify the version of the permanent fix, and confirm that you have installed the latest versions of themes and plugins. If the problem persists, we highly recommend opening a new support ticket for further assistance. You can do so at WPML support forum.

Hi,

Thank you for contacting the support. Meanwhile this ticket is attended by one of my colleagues, please note that to translate anything related to Block Themes, like Menus, Patterns, Templates, or Template Parts you need to go to WPML > Translation Management.

Now, select the post type from the dropdown on the top left. Mark the content that you would like to translate and create a job.

Then access the job at WPML > Translations and translate the content with the WPML Translation Editor to 100%.

Please see https://wpml.org/documentation/getting-started-guide/translating-content-created-using-gutenberg-editor/translating-sites-that-use-full-site-editing/#translating-menus-in-site-editor-templates for more details.

Regards.

Hi Waquas, thanks for stepping in, but no thanks - as I said and proven in Loom video, it doesn't work - the post in English is not prepared for Translation no matter what I do.

You need to access the translation job at WPML > Translations and click "Translate".

Then complete the translation to 100% using the WPML Translation Editor.

Can you give this a try, please?

But there is no ENGLISH translation created that I could translate. Only Slovak!

Then you first need to create a job for the English translation at WPML > Translation Management > Dashboard.

I would like to offer to take a closer look and request temporary access (wp-admin and FTP) to the site to investigate the issue further.

The required fields are below the comment section when you log in to leave the next reply. The information you provide is private, meaning only you and I can see and access it.

IMPORTANT
Please be sure to back up the site and database before granting us access.

If you can't see the "wp-admin / FTP" fields, your post and site credentials will be set to "PUBLIC". DO NOT publish the data unless you see the required wp-admin / FTP fields.

The private reply form looks like this:

Hi! My first video shows that the suggested workflow doesn't prepare the EN file to translate, just Slovak. I tried to record all steps so you can see if I missed anything.

Unfortunately, I cannot give you access to the website, but I can give you a copy backup from WP Engine (without wp-uploads, so it's reasonably small):

Hello,

I am not sure if you are following the correct workflow, but on a copy of your site, I had no issue with creating a new job for the pattern and accessing the translation by going to WPML > Translations.

See screenshot.

If you still experience issues, then this might be related to WP Engines integrated plugins. Please try clearing the object cache on WP Engine.

Best regards
Andreas

It works now, but I had to click on "Publish" in the pattern post to push it to production. It's super weird and I cannot track it better, we'll wait if any other error like this emerges.

Thanks for your help!
