Background of the issue:
Last year we used WPML to send files back and forth from our client's WordPress site to our memoQ server and vice versa. For an update, we were asked to translate three additional web pages.

Symptoms:
Sending the file through WPML to memoQ worked fine, delivery same. Yet, when we or the client try to retrieve the files nothing happens, no files appear. Also, when I try the route of uploading the xliffs manually in WPML, I get the notification I don't have the rights to do so.

Questions:
Why can't we retrieve the files after delivery?
Why do I get a notification that I don't have the rights to upload xliffs manually in WPML?

Hello,

I apologize for the delay in responding. I will take care of this ticket; the reply time will be shorter now.

To ensure the quickest and most accurate support, please provide your debug information so I can look at some of your configurations. We have an excellent article on how to locate it here: https://wpml.org/faq/provide-debug-information-faster-support/.

Let me summarize the issue to check that I get it properly:
- The translation process went fine, the content was sent and fetched, and it displays in the front end as expected
- When you go to WPML > Translation and try to export an XLIFF file of a translation, nothing happens
- When you try to upload an XLIFF file for a translation, you get a notification about not having the rights to do so

Are you a translation manager? (WPML -> Translation Management -> Translators)

Can you also check if any server restrictions may block the upload/download of the files?

Please follow the instructions mentioned on this page: https://wpml.org/documentation/support/debugging-wpml/
Then, try to reproduce the issue and check your installation's **wp-content** folder to see if a file named **"debug.log"** was created (it will only be generated if a server error occurs).
If the file was created, please upload it to a platform like **Google Drive** or **Dropbox** (whichever you usually use) and share the link with me (make sure it is publicly accessible) so I can analyze it.

Best Regards,
Otto
