This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.

Problem:
The client is facing an issue where the currency switcher on their website does not change the currency as expected, despite attempts to switch it. The issue occurs intermittently, as some users report that the currency remains the same even after selecting a different one.
Solution:
We recommend gathering more detailed information from the users experiencing the issue, such as their country of access. This information can help identify if the problem is related to specific regions. Additionally, we advise reviewing the setup of the currency switcher to ensure it is configured correctly. You can find the official documentation for setting up the currency switcher with WPML and WooCommerce Multilingual here: Multi-Currency Support for WooCommerce.

If this solution does not resolve the issue or seems irrelevant due to being outdated or not applicable to your case, we highly recommend checking related known issues at https://wpml.org/known-issues/, verifying the version of the permanent fix, and confirming that you have installed the latest versions of themes and plugins. If further assistance is needed, please open a new support ticket at WPML support forum.

Background of the issue:
I am trying to address an issue our customer has with switching currencies on our website. We received several screen recordings showing that when people try to switch currencies, the selection seems to be ignored, and the currency stays the same. When I try to reproduce it, the currency switcher works correctly. Here is a link to a page where the issue can be seen: hidden link

Symptoms:
The currency switcher stays on the same currency in some instances, despite attempts to change it. The expected behavior is to see the price in the newly selected currency, but instead, the same currency that was previously selected is displayed.

Questions:
Can you make sense of why the currency switcher sometimes does not work?
Can you find a reason why the currency switcher goes wrong sometimes?

Hi there,
Thank you for contacting us

I visited the link, and the currency switcher works correctly for all currencies. I'd recommend gathering more information from your clients who can see the problem, what country they are visiting the site from, etc. This might shed some light on the cause of the issue.

Here is the official documentation for the currency switcher in case you want to double-check everything is correctly set up on the site: https://wpml.org/documentation/related-projects/woocommerce-multilingual/multi-currency-support-woocommerce/

Regards,
Carlos
