This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.

Problem:
The client added a credit balance to their account and attempted to switch to automatic transfers, but encountered a 404 error when clicking 'Recheck'.
Solution:
We recommend the following steps to resolve the issue:
1. Navigate to Plugins → Add New and select the Commercial tab. Then, click 'Unregister WPML from this site'.
2. After the page loads, click on 'Register WPML'. You will be prompted to enter the site key. Click on 'Get a key for this site'.
3. Complete the site key wizard in your WPML account and set it to 'Production site'.
4. Copy your new key and paste it in the Commercial tab. Afterwards, you can delete your old site key in the WPML account.
5. Assign credits to your website.
If this does not address your issue, please upload screenshots showing the problem for further assistance.
Additionally, if you need to cancel any ongoing automatic translations, you can do so by navigating to WPML → Support → Troubleshooting and selecting 'Cancel in-progress automatic jobs'.

If the solution provided here does not resolve your issue or seems outdated, we highly recommend checking related known issues at https://wpml.org/known-issues/, verifying the version of the permanent fix, and confirming that you have installed the latest versions of themes and plugins. Thank you for contacting WPML support.

Do I correctly understand that you added a credit to your account, and now want to assign it to the site? If so, please try the following:

- Go to Plugins → Add New and click the Commercial tab. Click Unregister WPML from this site.

- Once the page loads, click on Register WPML. A message asking you to enter the site key will appear. Click on Get a key for this site.

- In your WPML account, complete the site key wizard and set it to Production site.

- Copy your new key and paste it in the Commercial tab. When done, you can delete your old site key in the WPML account.

- Finally, assign credits to your website.

If this is not what you are trying to do, please upload screenshots showing the problem.

if I switch the Mode to manual translation after translating everything, will the translations from the Automatic mode be saved? And is there a way to stop posts from being translated?

Changing the mode does not cancel any completed translations.

You can cancel all automatic translations currently in progress by going to WPML → Support → Troubleshooting and selecting the option "Cancel in-progress automatic jobs."
