This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.
Problem:
If you're experiencing issues where custom field values of a taxonomy are empty after copying posts and taxonomies into another language using ACF Pro, while the values for the post type were copied successfully, we have a solution.
Solution:
First, navigate to the Field Group and set the translation option to
Expert
and save. Next, go to WPML > Settings > Custom Fields Translation and ensure that every field is set to either
translate
or
copy
, based on your needs. Then, make a minor change to the original content to update it and check the translation afterward. Alternatively, you can try deleting the translated post and creating a new one from scratch to see if the fields appear for translation this way. For more detailed guidance, please refer to our complete documentation here: Translate sites built with ACF.
If this solution does not apply to your case, or if it seems outdated, we highly recommend checking related known issues at https://wpml.org/known-issues/, verifying the version of the permanent fix, and confirming that you have installed the latest versions of themes and plugins.
