This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.

Problem:
The client's multilingual WooCommerce website experienced a disappearance of products in the translated languages (FR, DE, and USA). The issue was resolved by using the "Synchronize posts taxonomies" button, but the client sought an explanation for the cause and how to prevent it in the future.
Solution:
We explained that it is challenging to pinpoint the exact cause without further investigation. However, such issues may arise if:
1. Content was created while WPML or its add-ons, such as WooCommerce Multilingual (WCML), were disabled.
2. There is a conflict between WPML and another plugin, possibly a WooCommerce Addon.
We recommended that if the issue reoccurs, the client should allow us to take a copy of their site for debugging and to attempt to recreate the issue. This would enable us to run troubleshooting steps to determine the cause.
Please note that this solution might be irrelevant due to being outdated or not applicable to your case. If the issue persists, we highly recommend checking related known issues, verifying the version of the permanent fix, and confirming that you have installed the latest versions of themes and plugins. If you need further assistance, please open a new support ticket.

Tell us what you are trying to do?
Our English WooCommerce website has 3 other languages: FR, DE and USA. All the products on those languages disappeared, we had to use the "Synchronize posts taxonomies" button to fix it. I now need to explain to my client why this occurred.

I checked what work our agency did and in the last 48 hours it was nothing.

I do not need a resolution as it is solved, but I need assistance knowing what caused such a massive disappearance of products and how we can prevent that in future.

Is there any documentation that you are following?
https://wpml.org/forums/topic/translated-products-dont-show-in-product-categorie/

Is there a similar example that we can see?
No prior examples. This site has run for over 3 years.

What is the link to your site?

Would be good to know what is the trigger for it. As mentioned I do not believe we were the cause for it, one of our last actions was to just look at a page, 6 hours before this occurred.

Knowing what triggered it would be good for avoiding it, as we do not want to be caught flat-footed having to just wait for it to happen again randomly.

Hello,

It is truly almost impossible for us to know why it happened.

Issues like that can happen for example if content was created while WPML or one of our addons (in this case WCML) was disabled.

Issues like that also can occur if there is a conflict on the site between WPML and a specific other plugin, in this case possibly a WooCommerce Addon.

If the issue occurs again, then we can offer to take a copy of your site, run a debug, and try to recreate the issue, so that we can run the troubleshooting steps to determine why the issue occurred.

Best regards
Andreas

Ok, I will keep that in mind if it occurs again, we will create a snapshot of it before we do the "Synchronize posts taxonomies" fix. Thank you Andreas
