This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.

Problem:
After adding a custom field via ACF to translated products, all products display the 'update translation' icon, indicating that the translation is incomplete.
Solution:
If you're experiencing this issue, we recommend using the 'Translate Automatically' option when sending posts for translation via Translation Management. This ensures that if there are no new words to translate, you won't be charged any credits. Once the content is translated automatically, it will be updated on your site and marked as translated. For more details, please visit Translating Individual Pages, Posts, and Other Content Automatically.

Background of the issue:
I translated 151 products on hidden link. I added a custom field via ACF and chose the same field in each language.

Symptoms:
After adding the custom field, all products show the 'update translation' icon and indicate that the translation is incomplete.

Questions:
How can I solve the issue where all products show the 'update translation' icon after adding a custom field via ACF?

Hey there,

It's expected that, once something changes in the original language, that translation are marked as update needed.

What I can suggest is when sending posts for translation via Translation management select Translate Automatically, and if there is nothing to translate, you will not be charged any credits, or will be only for new words.

Once they are translated automatically, they will be delivered to your site and marked as translated.

Hi,

Okay, then I can't do anything about that.

Another question: I added a custom field "menu-title" to each menu. I want to display this title above the menu with a shortcode. Is it possible to translate this value with string translation without translating the whole menu?

Kind regards
Davy
