This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.

Issue:
The customer could not find certain strings in the WPML String Translation, such as 'Cancel gift wrap' and 'Gift wrap was added to your cart', to translate them into Dutch .
>Solution:
1. Go to WPML > Theme and Plugin Localization and scan the 'Gift Wrapper' plugin for new strings.
2. Then go to WPML > String Translation and search again for the strings you want to translate.
3. If you still can't find them, go to the bottom of the page and click 'Translate texts in admin screens'. Search for your string again here, highlight them, and add them to WPML String Translation to translate them there.
4. If the strings are still not visible, enable the 'Search for strings while pages are displayed' option at the bottom of the WPML > String Translation page, go to the Checkout page, and reload the page. Then deactivate the option again. This will register the string at WPML > String Translation, after which you just need to highlight the string and then use the field at the bottom of the table to change the source language to Dutch.
Now test the translation.

There are two strings I cannot find in string translations as, plugin search, as text search.

The strings are:

- Cancel gift wrap
- Gift wrap was added to your cart.

They need to be translated to dutch.

Hello,

Please go to WPML > Theme and Plugin Localization and scan the plugin "Gift Wrapper" for new strings.

Now, go to WPML > String Translation and search again for the strings that you are trying to translate.

If you still can not find them, go to the bottom of the page and click "Translate texts in admin screens."

Now search for your string again and if you can find them, mark them and add them to WPML String Translation - then translate them inside String Translation.

If this will not solve the issue, please let me know.

Best regards
Andreas

It seems as if you did not scan the plugin first for new strings at WPML > Theme and Plugin Localization.

I was able to find the strings now.

Please test the translation.

There are still some strings not visible to find. For example: " Geef jouw gelegenheid aan "

I was able to find the string.

In order to locate it activate the option "Zoek naar strings terwijl pagina's worden weergegeven" which is located in the bottom of the page WPML > String Translation.

Then I went to the Checkout page and reloaded the page. Then deactivate the option again.

This registered the string on WPML > String Translation. I only had to mark the string and then use the field at the bottom of the table to switch the source language to Dutch.

Please test the translation now.
