1) Can you please confirm I understand the issue correctly, you are expecting en and x-default to show without "product-category", correct?

2) Please disable WPML, and check the page source if there is some URL shown for Rank Math meta info?

3) Try to not translate product-category slug if you have done so.

thanks for getting back.

The shared workaround should be efficient, as it says "The untranslated terms won’t be visible in the URL anyway when you use any those options."

In your case, the default language slug is still showing in the default language, so I am trying to see if it is related.

If you do not translate the slugs, since they won't be visible either way, does this help for your case?

- Set up WPML
- Install the necessary plugins.
- Try to replicate the issue in a simple example, without any additional plugins or themes
- Share with me step by step guide on how can I check the issue
