[Resolved] Some of the content doesn't appear for translation in ATE
This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.
Problem: The client was experiencing issues with content not appearing for translation in WPML's Advanced Translation Editor (ATE) after updating their website.
Solution: We recommended the following steps: 1. Edit the content in the original language (Greek). 2. Make a small change to the content. 3. Save the changes. 4. Update the translation.
We identified that the theme or another plugin had registered several custom Elementor elements but did not generate the Language Configuration File, which is necessary for WPML to read them. We provided the client with the code to register all the elements we had already registered for them, which can be found in WPML -> Settings -> Custom XML Configuration tab. Additionally, we provided a link to our documentation on how to register custom Elementor elements for translation: https://wpml.org/documentation/support/language-configuration-files/how-to-register-page-builder-widgets-for-translation/.
Please note that this solution might be irrelevant if it's outdated or not applicable to your case. If you're still experiencing issues, we highly recommend checking related known issues at https://wpml.org/known-issues/, verifying the version of the permanent fix, and confirming that you have installed the latest versions of themes and plugins. If the problem persists, please open a new support ticket with us.

I've increased the wp memory to 128M, also updated all plugins. I run once again the auto translation, yet it didnt successfully translate the pages. Attached is a printscreen of the translation editor of the home page. Obviously there are many more fields than the 2 appearing for translation.
The issue was not only about the home page. The home page was cited as an example. This issue exists with all pages. Attached a sceenshot of the translation editor of hidden link.
additionally I notice 2 pending issues. I see that the image from bradcrumb is missing from the page I gave an example of above. Also, the links have not been translated anywhere. Have i missed any steps in the translation?
I added the code to register the elements on this other page. If you find other pages with the same issue after updating the translation share the URLs so I can review them.
They are plenty. Below are those i found: hidden link
hidden link
hidden link
hidden link
hidden link
hidden link
half of hidden link
huge part of hidden link
same with hidden link
Also what is the correct way to restore the header image? Should i just edit the translated page and add it there? Also about the links i asked earlier.
What is causing this issue? Why are so many fields inaccessible through the translation editor? Please provide the quickest solution to resolve this. I don't recommend spending excessive time locating all the hidden fields from the translation editor and register them, unless its the only solution.
In all the links you shared you just only need to:
- Edit the content in the original language (Greek)
- Make a small change
- Save the changes
- Update the translation
All the elements in those pages are already registered. The cause of the issue is that the theme or another plugin registered several custom Elementor elements but didn't generate the Language Configuration File for these elements so WPML couldn't read them. You can see the code to register all the elements I already registered in WPML -> Settings -> Custom XML Configuration tab. In this link you will find the steps to register custom Elementor elements: https://wpml.org/documentation/support/language-configuration-files/how-to-register-page-builder-widgets-for-translation/
Hello,
1) I opened translation editor and then saved, propably occured cause i didnt change anything, 2nd time i tryed and change something small it closed successfully.
2) Thank you very much for adding the fields!
Attached are the last fields missing from Home, Blog and Contact page, their name tells which is where.
Do you have any update on the header image missing from all translated pages issue?
Lastly, regarding link translation which do now appear anywhere in translation editor, should I reference the fields containing links and handle them in the same manner as custom elements?
