This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.

Problem:
The client is using a template created with ACF, where each page has multiple modules and components with radio inputs set to 'translate'. This requires marking 'Translation is complete' multiple times per page, which is cumbersome and time-consuming for translators.
Solution:
We recommend setting the radio input fields to 'copy' instead of 'translate'. This change means you won't need to mark 'Translation is complete' for these fields repeatedly. You will need to adjust the output on the front-end based on the selected options to ensure the content localizes correctly.

Background of the issue:
We have created a template using ACF. Each page using the template has 4 Modules and each module has 4 components, each of which has an optional radio input, which can be 'translated', although in practice we are really using this to allow localization of content. Actually, we rarely use this component but every time we translate a page, we need to check 'Translation is complete', regardless of whether we are using it or not. We have to do this 16 times per page.

Symptoms:
This process is annoying for the translators and slows them down.

Questions:
Is there another way to approach the translation workflow for radio inputs?

Hello,

Thank you for reaching out to WPML support. I’m happy to assist you with this issue.

Unfortunately, I can't think of an alternative workflow in this case. If the field is set to "translate," the only option would be to set the field to "copy" and adjust the output on the front-end based on the selected options. However, excluding fields from the translation editor while using the "translate" method isn’t possible.

I hope this helps!

Thank you.
