Background of the issue:
We have a post in German and we want to translate it to French using automatic translation. The translation is done, but it modifies the breaks of the lines. An example of the original and translated text is provided.

Symptoms:
The translation forces a break line always after a dot even when there is no break in the original text.

Questions:
Why does the automatic translation modify the breaks of the lines?
How can I prevent the translation from forcing a break line after a dot?

Hi there,

Please try this and let me know your results:

- Access the translation
– Go to the top right corner of the translation editor
– Click the gear icon
– Disable the option “I prefer bigger segments”
– Close the editor and send the page to translate again via WPML > Translation Management.
