This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.
Problem: You are trying to translate two search forms using WPML, but they remain stuck in the 'waiting for translator' status even after attempting to publish them without review. Additionally, the 'jobs' tab shows no pending tasks. Solution: First, ensure that these forms do not require translation. If they don't, you should exclude them from WPML's translation management. Here's how you can do it: 1. Create a backup of your website. 2. Navigate to WPML > Settings and set the Post Type for your forms to 'not translatable' under Post Types Translations. 3. If you need to translate placeholder text within the forms, use the WPML > String Translation module. You can find more details on string translation here: String Translation documentation.
If this solution does not apply to your case, or if it seems outdated, we recommend opening a new support ticket. We also advise checking related known issues at https://wpml.org/known-issues/, verifying the version of the permanent fix, and confirming that you have installed the latest versions of themes and plugins. Questions:
Why are the translations stuck?
How can I resolve the 'waiting for translator' issue?
Thanks so much for your patience while we looked into the issue with the Advanced Translation Editor (ATE). Our developers have confirmed that all systems are now functioning correctly again. 🎉
That said, there may still be a short delay as the system works through a backlog of accumulated jobs. We’d really appreciate it if you could try again now and let us know if everything works as expected on your end.
I would like to look at this directly on your site. For this I would need temporary access (WP-Admin and FTP) to your site, preferably to a test/staging site where the problem has been replicated if possible.
The required fields can be found below the comments section. The information you enter is private, i.e. only you and I can see it and have access to it.
I may need to replicate your website locally. To do this, I need to temporarily install a plugin called "Duplicator" or "All in One WP Migration" on your website. This will allow me to create a copy of your website and content. Once the issue is resolved, I will delete the local website. Let me know if this works for you.
IMPORTANT
Please make a backup copy of the site files and database before giving us access.
- If you do not see the wp-admin/FTP fields, this means your post and site login details are being made PUBLIC. DO NOT post your website details if you do not see the required wp-admin/FTP fields. If you do not, ask me to enable the private box. The private box looks like this:
I wanted to download a copy of your website, so I could check for conflicts without, but couldn't, due to safety issues with your website. Check image attached.
Please adjust the website so I can use it normally and possibly download a cpy. This might also be affecting WPML's communication with external services.
I created a test page, with both the Default and Custom Form Search codes added, translated the page and got the search form field working on the translated languages.
Since these forms don't need translation, you don't need them under WPML > Translation Management. Make sure to have a website backup, go to WPML > Settings and mark the Post Type as not translatable, in Post Types Translations.
