Background of the issue:
I am trying to save my page after editing it. The issue occurs when I click 'Update' and I'm redirected to a 404 page not found on the frontside. This happens on the page: hidden link.

Symptoms:
When I try to update the page, I am redirected to a 404 page not found. Just before the redirection, I see an error in the JS console about the 'admin-ajax.php' file.

Questions:
Why am I being redirected to a 404 page when trying to save a translated page?
What does the error in the JS console about 'admin-ajax.php' indicate?

Since I wasn’t receiving a response in chat, I moved the conversation to a forum ticket.

I visited the Historique page in the default language: hidden link and pressed an Update button and the default language page also shows 404 error.

Could you please take a backup of your site and temporarily deactivate the WPML plugins to check if the issue persists?

- If the issue remains after deactivating WPML, then WPML is not the cause, and you may need to contact the relevant plugin author.

- If the issue disappears after deactivating WPML, please provide me with working FTP login details.

+ I would additionally need your permission to deactivate and reactivate Plugins and the Theme and to change configurations on the site. This is also a reason the backup is really important.

Please let me know the results,
Thank you for your cooperation

Thanks for your permission. I’ve taken the following steps to isolate the issue:

1. Deactivated WPML and tried updating the Historique page in the default language. The 404 error still occurred, confirming that the issue is not related to WPML.

2. Deactivated plugins one by one, and found that the issue disappears when the Classic Editor plugin is deactivated.

It seems the Historique page might be corrupted, as all other pages work fine. I’d recommend creating a new page, copying the content from the Historique page, and then deleting the problematic one.

Please let me know if this resolves the issue or if you need further assistance.
