Background of the issue:
I am editing the default language on my site hidden link using WPML. I want to ensure that the latest version of the content is available for translation.

Symptoms:
When I try to translate the edited default language, the translation editor shows an older version instead of the newest version.

Questions:
Why is the translation editor not showing the latest version of the default language?
How can I update the translation editor to reflect the newest version of the content?

Hello,
Thank you for contacting us

1.- The cause of the issue might be that the old content is still not fully translated and the translation is stuck. I kindly ask you to follow these steps and let me know if the issue disappeared:
- Edit the content in the original language
- Make a small change to the content
- Save the changes
- Go to WPML -> Translation Management -> Select the content and send it for translation (you can assign it to yourself)
- Go to WPML -> Translations -> Translate the content (make sure it is 100% translated)
- Double-check if the issue disappeared.

Could you tell me the results of the steps described above?

2.- Please share the site debug information as described in this guide: https://wpml.org/faq/provide-debug-information-faster-support/

Regards,
Carlos

Thank you for sharing the credentials requested.

After following the steps described in my message the content is shown correctly in the Advanced Translation Editor (ATE). If you still see any issues, please share a screenshot highlighting the outdated content.

Hi,

I see the content correctly translated into English. Could you share a screenshot where the untranslated content is shown?

Added dutch (original) and english. If you scan them for yourself you can see the difference in the images.

Thank you for your message.

I found a problem in the site that might be causing this issue. You can see in hidden link that the Rest API is disabled, which causes communication problems between WPML and ATE.

Please deactivate the plugins and the theme, one by one, until the error disappears and you find the culprit (I recommend starting with the security plugins). You can also ask your hosting providers if any firewall directive on the server side might be causing this problem.

Once you find the cause of the issue and the Rest API is enabled again, double-check to see if the translation has been updated.

Rest API is enabled, you can check it via this link: hidden link

What else could be causing the issue?

This issue could be caused by a third-party functionality or a restriction on the server-side.

Yes, Cloudflare can cause this issue. Could you deactivate Cloudflare and check if the issue disappeared?
