ERR_TOO_MANY_REDIRECTS occurs while trying to import translation. I disabled all plugins except theme and WooCommerce, but the error remains. Also while setting up WooCommerce I had something happen to the URLs. There are now strange characters at the end of each line: (hidden link). When I disabled WooCoomerce, the URLs became normal. I don't know if these problems are related, but I'd appreciate any help.

I understand that you receive an error "ERR_TOO_MANY_REDIRECTS" when importing the translations. Could you please share more information on how you import them? I could not find WP All Import or similar plugins.

The strange characters appearing in the URL when WooCommerce is enabled happens when you select "Geolocate (with page caching support)" for this option WooCommerce → Settings → General → Default customer location.

I'm importing through String Translation. It's always worked fine before.

Hello,

Thank you for the updates. Which string domain you are trying to import? Hope you have selected a string domain(for example *WooCommerce*) for the *Select what the strings are for* field while importing the strings.

If the issue exists, please share with us the WordPress debug.log(not WPML debug information) for collecting more details on this. Refer to these pages for instructions

To enable the WordPress Debug log, open your wp-config.php file of site root and look for define('WP_DEBUG', false);. Change it to:

// Enable WP_DEBUG mode
define( 'WP_DEBUG', true );
 
// Enable Debug logging to the /wp-content/debug.log file
define( 'WP_DEBUG_LOG', true );
 
// Disable display of errors and warnings 
define( 'WP_DEBUG_DISPLAY', false );
@ini_set( 'display_errors', 0 );

In this case, the errors will be saved to a debug.log log file inside the */wp-content/* directory. Please do the steps to reproduce the bug and check if you are getting any errors or warnings related to WPML in the log file.

If you can paste your debug.log to http://pastebin.com/index.php and provide me that link it would be great! (This is the cleanest way because sometimes the logs are long and create a complete mess of discussion).

Import yes, I'm doing it the right way. That's exactly what the woocommerce translation is. Today, the error is 404, not ERR_TOO_MANY_REDIRECTS. Yesterday I uploaded translations to languages/wpml and languages/plugins but it didn't help either.

Thank you for the updates and Debug log. The Debug log is not showing any warning or error related to WPML.

Please increase the *MaxInputVars* of PHP settings to *10000*. Please check the following article for more details and contact your system admin/hosting provider for upgrading this configuration.

Also, please check if you are getting any errors related to WPML in the server error log while having this bug. May you need your hosting team's support to access the server error log file.

We would like to know if you have a staging/dev site(a clone copy of the live site).
