Hi,

translation issue is currently not visible because i have restore backup to yesterday. But, if i do the following issue appears. I need someone to fix the issue so i can prevent issue appearing. After my image-text description you should be able to find and fix the issue.

Before i have restore a backup, i have deactivate and reactivate plugins one by one. Wp- memory-limit is increased to 256M and wp-max-memory limit is increased to 512M.

Website url adres is:
hidden link

Homepage name in wordpress is REZERVACIJE(on image red text SEO is for seo meta title and description):
URL(Taxi-Pio-Homepage):
hidden link

HOMEPAGE page in wpml have two translation pages, but it should be one. In wordpress page is named rezervacije. In wpml are two pages: Homepage and rezervacije. On homepage is website translateble text and on the rezervacije is seo translation text.
URL(Taxi-Pio-Image-1):
hidden link

So, if you could tell me how to correct it, or please you correct it because it should be fine without any problems.

When i click on wpml on homepage > Edit > WPML Translation Editor (Engleski etc*)
URL(Taxi-Pio-Image-2):
hidden link

Translated text appears in chosen translation language:
URL(Taxi-Pio-Image-3):
hidden link

When i click on the homepage link in the wpml translation, it is not showing homepage-rezervacije, but it should be link to translated homepage named rezervacije.
URL(Taxi-Pio-Image-4):
hidden link

After i click in wpml translation to update translation, translation text dissapear(in red rectangle). It should still exist if i add some text on homepage named rezervacije, and offcourse on any other page.
URL(Taxi-Pio-Image-5):
hidden link

When i click in wpml translation service on page Rezervacije > Edit > WPML Translation Editor (Engleski etc*)
URL(Taxi-Pio-Image-6):
hidden link

translation text appears for SEO text. Few weeks ago SEO translateble text was shown in wordpress pages menu for translation, and it was really functional and logical. I dont know why it was changed. To be honest i dont mind if i could translate seo text and website frontend text in wpml translation. Just if it could be functional.
URL(Taxi-Pio-Image-7):
hidden link

Currently is restored backup with version were on homepage-rezervacije is shown in all translatable languages. Today in the morning i have updated in translation wpml for homepege

URL(Taxi-Pio-Image-8-1):
hidden link

and on the homepage- on frontend, it was displaying only default language. But it should show all the translated languages when updatin languages, on homepage and on the any other pages..

URL(Taxi-Pio-Image-9):
hidden link

WPML, please help with the issue. I have no idea how it is possible for translation text to desapear. In my opinion, something like the issue i described is easy for you to solve.

Thanks in advance and God be with you.

Kind regards,
Darko Pečanac

Hi Darko,

Thank you for contacting WPML support and for the detailed description.

Before assigning your ticket to one of my colleagues, please allow me to walk you through some initial debugging steps. This will help speed up the support process.

The "Homepage" shown under WPML → Translation Management isn't your homepage. It's a post type called "Body Template", and when you try to access it directly, it is expected to throw a 404 Not Found error.

When you update the homepage page, which is called "REZERVACIJE", you'll need to update the translation for that page, not the Homepage template body.

Regarding the SEO issue, the SEO text should appear in WPML translation editor when you edit the translation of "REZERVACIJE"; not the Homepage body template post.

I hope that clarifies the confusion about naming the post types displayed under WPML → Translation Management.

Hi,

thank you for the help and your kind answers.

I understand your answer. It is fine with me, i like it.

So, after translating text in page rezervacije, translated text in wpml translation editor shouldn`t disappear.

Currently is like this:

Rezervacije page(with seo translation):
(2) hidden link

Homepage page:(with text translation):
(3) hidden link

(1) Homepage(3 days ago, before restoring to backuped version with translated text) after updating translation text, translated text is gone and only one language is shown, default language:
hidden link

Please help fix the issue and make it functional, to be ok 🙂

Kind regards,
Darko

Hello,

I would like to assist you on this matter, but I am still unsure if I captured the issue correctly.

The issue is, that when you use SEOPress PRO the WPML Translation Editor does not display the whole page content?

Take note, that SEOPress is not compatible with the plugin WPML SEO, as this addon is designed for Yoast SEO and Rankmath SEO.

Anyhow, we do recommend SEOPress and it should work with WPML, and it was tested recently:

https://wpml.org/documentation/plugins-compatibility/optimize-wpml-multilingual-sites-for-search-engines-using-seopress/

https://wpml.org/plugin-functionality/seo/

I would like to request temporary access (wp-admin and FTP) to the website to investigate the issue further.

You can find the required fields below the comment section when you log in to leave the next reply. The information you provide is private, which means only you and I can see and access it.

IMPORTANT
Please be sure to make a backup copy of the website and database before allowing us access.
If you can't see the wp-admin / FTP fields, your post and website credentials are set as PUBLIC. DO NOT publish the data unless you see the required wp-admin / FTP fields.

I may have to install a plugin called "All In One WP Migration" to make a copy of the website where I can investigate the issue further.

However, I would also be very grateful if you could provide a staging site or copy of the website from your server yourself for this purpose.

If you have any questions about creating such a staging site, you can consult your hosting provider or use a plugin like the following, just make sure the server has enough free disk space:
https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-staging/

If you are unable to provide such a copy of the site for testing, please let me know on this ticket.

The private response form looks like this:

Please note that we are obliged to request this information individually on each ticket. We may not access any access information not specifically submitted on this ticket in the private response form.
