This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.

Problem:
I removed WPML but in the "WordPress Updates" section, there is a "Translations" section and a "Update Translations" button. How to remove that one?

Solution:
This button is added by a WordPress core function in the wp-admin/update-core.php file.

Since it's not handled by WPML, removing the plugin won't remove the button. Kindly check here for more details: https://developer.wordpress.org/reference/functions/list_translation_updates/

Hi,

In the past, I install WPML on hidden link, then I follow the instructions in https://wpml.org/documentation/getting-started-guide/language-setup/deleting-languages-and-plugin-data-by-doing-a-wpml-reset-on-your-site/ to reset WPML.

The only step I fail to do is "Delete the translated contents" because as soon as I start this, I will get a timeout error.

After completing other steps in the above document, I restore the MySQL database to a old one before WPML is installed, then everything works well, except that in "WordPress Updates" section, there is a "Translations" section and a "Update Translations" button. How to remove that one?

Hi there,
Thanks for contacting WPML support.
