I have a staging site staging2.borneodream.com and things did not go well. All translations are OK. 2M Credits and around 1000€ spent.

I now have a second staging site staging11.borneodream.com and things are going a lot better. I'm using professional to do it. How do I get access to the translations already purchased and done from the first site? I have connected them.

Regards
Billy

Hello Billy,

If you merge both sites, then they will share the same translation memory on the Advanced Translation Editor.

Guide:
https://wpml.org/documentation/translating-your-contents/how-wpml-keeps-track-of-your-translations/

Go to WPML > Translation Management > Dashboard, select untranslated content, and create a translation job.

This should send the content and translation and auto-complete the earlier translated segments.

Apart from that, you could use our WPML Export & Import Plugin to import the content:
https://wpml.org/documentation/related-projects/wpml-export-and-import/

Best regards
Andreas

Hello Andreas,

Many thanks for your email and answers. I think you need a bit more information, and please remember I'm not that techie.

The live site is hidden link from that, I created a staging site called staging2.borneodream.com where I installed WPML and registered it to my WPML account.

I enabled 5 additional languages plus setup Pay As You Go automatic translate everything service against my credit card. Where it spent getting on for 1000€

Unfortunately, WPML, due to misconfiguration by me, I have been told by a developer. It has completely screwed up my woocommerce to Woo Booking Extension. Thus, all orders and bookings are no longer connected or linked. Basically, it's a complete mess. Woo has said it is unrecoverable, and I need to start a new staging site.

If I delete staging2.borneodream.com and create a new one with the same name, will I lose all my translations and have to pay again?

How can I dig my self out of this hole I have created?

Thanks
Billy

Hello Billy,

If you merged your sites, then the translations should get auto-completed when sending them to translation again on your staging. You will not get charged twice for this.

This is due to the translation memory of the Advanced Translation Editor.

If the original content was not changed in the meantime, then the Advanced Translation Editor will auto-complete each segment that already was translated earlier on the original site.

This is what the shared translation memory of the Advanced Translation Editor is about.

Let me know if you do have any further questions or if this feature is not working as expected on your staging.

About your WooCommerce issues:

Usually, if thew correct settings are applied, you should be able to fix the products by translating them again, but when it comes to existing orders, we might not be able to fix existing issues.

If you would like me to have a look into the site as admin user, please let me know.

Best regards
Andreas
