Background of the issue:
I am trying to resolve an issue with WPML on my site hidden link. I had a ticket open for this issue over a month ago, but I was only able to create a staging site now. I want to restart the troubleshooting process.
Some images attached.
1. WordPress admin page showing the EDUCACAO page needs translating.
2. WPML interface for this page, blank translations.
3. Live page in English showing the translations I have added in the past.

I have WMPL installed in another website and the same thing happens.

Symptoms:
Pages with translations already included and 100% complete show no translations in the WPML interface. Some pages appear translated, but when I go to the translation admin for the page, it's blank.

Questions:
Why do pages with 100% translations show no translations in the WPML interface?
Why are some pages appearing translated but showing blank in the translation admin?

Thanks for contacting us.

I will need to closely examine your website. Therefore, I will require temporary access (WP-Admin and FTP) to a test site where the problem has been replicated, if possible. This will enable me to provide better assistance and determine if any configurations need to be modified.

Please note that it is important to have a backup for security purposes and to prevent any potential data loss. You can use the UpdraftPlus plugin (https://wordpress.org/plugins/updraftplus/) to fulfill your backup requirements.

Your upcoming reply will be treated with confidentiality and will only be visible to you and me.

✙ To resolve the issue, I may need your consent to deactivate and reactivate plugins and the theme, as well as make configuration changes on the site if necessary. This emphasizes the significance of having a backup.

Thanks for your reply.

I've checked the page here hidden link on English language and I could see your page revisions. Inside the page revisions, contents are added in English manually, which is why the translations are not showing up in the Advanced Translation Editor.

I believe you've used the Classic Translation Editor. Switching to the Advanced Translation Editor requires you to retranslate the contents to save them in the translation memory. https://wpml.org/documentation/translating-your-contents/how-wpml-keeps-track-of-your-translations/

This article will explain more about what happens when you switch from the Classic Translation Editor to the Advanced Translation Editor https://wpml.org/documentation/translating-your-contents/using-the-translation-editor/switching-from-classic-to-advanced-translation-editor/

Thanks, Kor.

But I don't believe this is the issue here because many times when I update the content on a page, the translation is lost and I have to redo it.
Can you show me a Classic Translation interface so I can tell you if I used it or not?
Thanks.

Thanks for your reply.

I'm referring to this Classic Translation Editor. Did you previously use this? https://wpml.org/documentation/translating-your-contents/using-the-translation-editor/

Hi Kor,
Thanks for sending the link to check.
No, I didn't use the Classic Translator.
Tks.

Thanks for your reply.

Are you able to replicate the translation missing issue on your Website now? Or does it happen randomly?

The screenshots I previously sent show it. Here they are again.
They refer to this page: hidden link

1. WordPress admin page showing the EDUCACAO page needs translating.
2. WPML interface for this page, blank translations.
3. Live page in English showing the translations I have added in the past.

It happens randomly. If I update a page and I go to the translation interface, other parts will miss, not only the new ones.

Thanks.

Thanks for your reply.

I've checked your account translation jobs in our system and this page hidden link is not fully translated and the Advanced Translation Editor translation was last opened on 2024-12-13

But when I checked your other pages like the one below and it's fully translated using Advanced Translation Editor and the translations are saved in our system.

Other pages are translated manually and there are no translations saved in the memory.

Hi Kor,

This is exactly my point. The page hidden link is translated as you can see live. But the Translation Editor shows it blank. And it has happened to many other pages.
Only the forms below aren't translated because I decided not to work on it until we have this sorted out.
The client sent me al the translations for this website and I included it manually. But the Editor doesn't show it, despite the fact it's online.

Tks.

Thanks for your reply.

Could you please update the credentials again? It's no longer working. I've checked our records and you've triggered translations for a couple of pages and all translations are recorded except this page hidden link . I need to recheck.

I just tested and the credentials are working properly.
Would you please try again?
Thank you!

Thanks for your reply.

It works now. I logged in to the wrong site. Ok, I've checked and it looks like you've only translated fully on two pages.

Anyway, since you mentioned that you've translated this page fully (hidden link) and the translations are gone, I will compensate you for the credits.

I've checked the Translation Management and this page has around 1200++ words, I will compensate you 3000 credits to initiate the automatic translation.

If the issue persists, please let me know and I will investigate this further for you.

Thanks, Kor, for the credits.
But this is not the issue here.
It's a persistent error that occurs in both sites I have the plugin installed on.
If I have to redo all the translations, it will be very time consuming.
The other website has one page 100% translated but the marker shows 94% completed.
Anyway, you can close this ticket, please.
If the problem persists after this new translation input, I'll decide what to do.
I still have a couple of months before the renewal.
Thanks for your help.
