This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.

Problem:
You are experiencing issues with the Advanced Translation Editor in WPML, where it flags text that is not present in the translation due to differences in bold formatting between the source and translated text.
Solution:
Currently, it is not possible to disable the check for bold formatting differences in the Advanced Translation Editor. All content, including HTML markers, must be the same in both the original and translated pages. If you require different content or formatting, you can opt for a manual translation method by following this guide: Using Different Translation Editors for Different Pages. Alternatively, you can customize the appearance of the second language page using custom CSS, but the text and content must still be fully translated and consistent across both languages.

If this solution does not apply to your case, or if it seems outdated, we recommend opening a new support ticket. We also advise checking related known issues at https://wpml.org/known-issues/, verifying the version of the permanent fix, and confirming that you have installed the latest versions of themes and plugins. Background of the issue:
I am trying to stop the advanced translation editor from flagging text in a blog that is not present in the translation.

Symptoms:
The translation process is stopping because the source text contains bold formatting that the translated text does not. I had to bold some text that I did not know what it was - it was translated - and I cannot find an option to stop this check being performed.

Questions:
How can I stop the advanced translation editor from flagging text that is not present in the translation?
Is there an option to disable the check for bold formatting differences between source and translated text?

Hello,

thanks for contacting us.

I am afraid that is not possible and pages need to be the same, and HTML markers in the WPML Translation editor.

If you need different content you can use manual method: https://wpml.org/documentation/translating-your-contents/using-different-translation-editors-for-different-pages/

or alter the 2nd language page with custom CSS, but still all text / content needs to be translated and same.

I changed the translation editor to the Old version and this works.

Also, this feature needs to be disabled because the emphasis between languages may be different. Find it completely nuts that I can't process a translation because of a bold text in English and no bold text in the Arabic.

No, if I use the old translation editor this problem does not exist. Also, the new editor automatically separates paragraphs where the old one does not. I am guessing due to some kind of logic, but just to let you know that that doesn't work either.

Thanks for your help.

Hello,

because they work in different ways, old translator and new one, there is an option to enable/disable bigger segments or not in the new editor under editor settings when you are translating.

As said this is all expected and I have recorded your vote for feature request.

Not sure why you didn't recommend switching to the old translation version to fix my problem, but thanks for passing on my feature request.
