[Resolved] The main event page created by Events Manager -plugin won't open in secondary language in frontend
This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.
Problem: You are trying to ensure that the main event page created by the Events Manager plugin opens correctly in the secondary language using WPML. The page shows 'Page seems not exist' in Finnish, and the slug doesn't include /en/ like other pages. The translated page only opens after first opening the page in Finnish and then changing the language using the language switcher. Solution: We checked the issue and found that the "events" slug (plural) for the archive page and the "event" slug (singular) for the single event page needed re-translation. After re-translating both slugs, the issue was resolved. Please verify by checking your pages:
If this solution does not apply to your case, or if it seems outdated, we highly recommend checking related known issues at https://wpml.org/known-issues/, verifying the version of the permanent fix, and confirming that you have installed the latest versions of themes and plugins. Background of the issue:
I am trying to ensure that the main event page created by the Events Manager plugin opens correctly in the secondary language using WPML.
Symptoms:
The page hidden link shows 'Page seems not exist' in Finnish. The slug doesn't include /en/ like other pages. The translated page only opens after first opening the page in Finnish and then changing the language using the language switcher.
Questions:
Why does the main event page not open in the secondary language?
How can I ensure the slug includes /en/ for the translated page?

Hello,
Your Finish Events appear to be here: hidden link
The English Events are here: hidden link
You need to go to WPML > Settings > Post Type Translation and translate the slug for your Events post type to change "tapahtumat" (Finish) to "events" (English).
You see my current Post Type Translation settings in attached image. In Finnish "tapahtuma" is for some reason a singular form. I can't change that? Should I change "event" to "events" anyway?
I'm Osama from WPML forums support. I'll be glad to help you today.
Please go to WPML-> String Translation, search for the slug, and delete its translation. After that, please go to WPML-> Settings-> Post Type Translation, translate the slug, and click Save.
Thanks for your update. I would need to look closely at your site, so I would need to request temporary access (WP-Admin and FTP) Preferably to a test site where the problem has been replicated.

Thanks for the access details. I checked the issue and found the "events" slug (Plural) for the archive page and the "event" slug (singular) for the single event page.
I re-translated both slugs, which fixed the issue. Kindly check the following:
