This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.

Problem:

The client is experiencing an issue where the 'saving' button keeps spinning indefinitely when trying to edit a product in a different language using WPML, despite the changes apparently being saved.

Solution:

We recommend the following steps:

1) Ensure you have the latest version of WPML String Translation. You may need to check for updates in the Plugins>>Add New>>Commercial tab.

2) Increase the WP Memory Limit to at least 256MB. For more details, see WPML minimum requirements and editing wp-config.php.

3) Increase the MaxInputVars in your PHP settings to 10000. For guidance, refer to setting MaxInputVars.

If these steps do not resolve your issue, or if the solution seems outdated or irrelevant to your case, we highly recommend checking related known issues at WPML known issues, verifying the version of the permanent fix, and confirming that you have installed the latest versions of themes and plugins. If the problem persists, please open a new support ticket.

Background of the issue:
I am trying to edit a product in a different language using WPML. I have ensured that all my plugins are up-to-date. I mean the page where you have English on the left side and the secondary language on the right side. I want to save my modification. Link to a page where the issue can be seen: hidden link

Symptoms:
The 'saving' button keeps spinning indefinitely without closing the window. However, it appears that the changes are still being saved.
*NB: Apparently after providing the debug information in this form your system write "Your Site Doesn't Meet WPML's " but the various link on the page point to 404 error.*

Questions:
Why does the 'saving' button keep spinning indefinitely?
Why the windows stay open.
Are my changes actually being saved despite the spinning button?

Hello,

Welcome to the WPML support forum. I will do my best to help you to resolve the issue.

This may be a compatibility issue. Please try the following steps after a full site backup and make sure the issue exists or not.

1) Upgrade to the latest version of WPML String Translation (3.2.17). May you have to visit Plugins>>Add New>>Commerical tab and click on the *Check for updates* button to get the WPML automatic upgrade links of the latest version.

2) Increase *WP Memory Limit* to *256*(the minimum required memory limit for WPML is *128*). Please check the following links for more details

https://wpml.org/home/minimum-requirements/

https://wordpress.org/support/article/editing-wp-config-php/#increasing-memory-allocated-to-php

3) Increase the *MaxInputVars* of PHP settings to *10000*. Please check the following article for more details or contact your system admin/hosting provider for this purpose.

Hello Bigul,
Thanks for fast feedback.
As this WPML feature was working fine for many years before, I didn't want to change immediately thess parameters you recommended me.

I had a new custom plugin implemented and by deactivating it, the issue seems to have disappeared. Let see if the situation come back.

Thanks again for your support
