This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.

Problem:
When using a professional translation service you can't cancel jobs in progress. That's because the agency might be already working on the translation.

Solution:
In that case you need to contact directly the agency/translation service and ask them to cancel the job from their end.

Relevant Documentation:
Refer to your service’s dedicated documentation for instructions on canceling translation jobs:

How can I revoke the translations that have been sent to a translation agency already? Because we decided to cancel the working cooperation with them?

"Sie können diese Übersetzung nicht bearbeiten, weil die Übersetzung auf FR bereits in Verlauf ist" which means "You cannot edit this translation because the translation on FR is already in progress." is what I See when I try to translate it on my own? How can I avoid this?

Unfortunately I cannot delete the tasks within translation management. It always says "This action does not apply to any of the selected translation jobs"

Thanks!
Hubertus

Hello,

Welcome to the WPML support forum.
You cannot do this directly from WPML. You must contact the translation service and ask them for cancellation. Refer to your service’s dedicated documentation for instructions on canceling translation jobs:
