This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.

Problem:
The client has translated their pricing page, but the FAQ section did not translate along with it. Even after manually translating the content in Elementor, it reverted back to the default language. Additionally, the advanced translator did not show the text.
Solution:
1. We recommended installing the Multilingual Tools Plugin.
2. We identified a server permission issue that prevented the installation of the plugin, which was indicated by the error message "Could not create directory. /var/www/html/wp-content/plugins/multilingual-1/".
3. After resolving the server permission issue, we added the correct custom XML configuration for Elementor, which should allow the client to translate the content properly.
4. We provided a link to the page where the client can translate the contents using the options in the sidebar: WPML Compatibility Test Tools Plugin.

If this solution doesn't look relevant, please open a new support ticket in the WPML support forum.

Hi,

I have translated our pricing page. But the faq is not translated along with it.

I then manually translated the English in elementor, but eventually it jumped back to the default language, how is this possible?

If you go to the advanced translator, that text isn't there either

Hi there,

Thanks for contacting WPML support. I've checked your page and I can see that you're using a 3rd party Elementor module to create the FAQ accordion section. You need to register these widgets using XML as explained here https://wpml.org/documentation/related-projects/wpml-compatibility-test-tools-plugin/registering-custom-elementor-widgets-for-translation/ before you can translate it using the Advanced Translation Editor. Could you give this a try?

Okay I found it but it's very unclear how to get the generated XML code for the custom widgets.

can you explain this step by step because I don't get it.

Thanks for your reply.

I will need to closely examine your website. Therefore, I will require temporary access (WP-Admin and FTP) to a test site where the problem has been replicated, if possible. This will enable me to provide better assistance and determine if any configurations need to be modified.

Please note that it is important to have a backup for security purposes and to prevent any potential data loss. You can use the UpdraftPlus plugin (https://wordpress.org/plugins/updraftplus/) to fulfill your backup requirements.

Your upcoming reply will be treated with confidentiality and will only be visible to you and me.

✙ To resolve the issue, I may need your consent to deactivate and reactivate plugins and the theme, as well as make configuration changes on the site if necessary. This emphasizes the significance of having a backup.
