This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.

Problem:
You have translated your site from Danish to English and added links in the main menu. However, when switching languages, two of the links, 'Going on' and 'about', revert to the Danish version despite re-translating the menu.
Solution:
To ensure that all menu links remain in English when switching languages, you should not attempt to translate templates or menus directly within the site editor. Instead, navigate to WPML > Translation Management > Dashboard. Use the filter on the top left to select the post type you wish to translate. After selecting your content, send it to translation. If you are translating the content yourself, you will need to access the translation at WPML > Translations. For further guidance, refer to our documentation on translating content created using the Gutenberg editor and full site editing at Translating sites that use full site editing.

If this solution does not apply to your case, or if it seems outdated, we highly recommend checking related known issues at https://wpml.org/known-issues/, verifying the version of the permanent fix, and confirming that you have installed the latest versions of themes and plugins. Background of the issue:
I have translated all sites from Danish to English and added links in the main menu. I want all sites in the menu to stay in English when I change the language.

Symptoms:
When I am on the English translation, two of the links 'Going on' and 'about' in the main menu go to the Danish version of the site. I have re-translated the menu several times and copied the menu from the front-page where it works, but it doesn't help. Site: hidden link

Questions:
How can I ensure that all menu links remain in English when switching languages?
Why do the 'Going on' and 'about' links revert to Danish despite re-translating the menu?

Hello,

Take note, that you can not translate templates or menu directly inside the site editor.

You need to go to WPML > Translation Management > Dashboard, then use the filter on the top left to filter for the post type that you would like to translate.

Now, select your content and send it to translation. If you translate the content yourself you will need to access the translation at WPML > Translations.

Actually my issue is resolved now. The problem was not the menu, but the two files. In the guide there is an advice to write "https" above in the searching field in the advanced translation. - Then two "http" -files showed up, those two sites having trouble in the menu. - I really Don't know why they were "http" - I would never have guessed, as the first thing I do with a new domain is making it safe and before creating any files.

However, it was not possible to change the url from http to https for the two sites, then I made two new sites in https and copied the content into them, Refreshed the translation of the navigation menu, it was the simplest way, and finally after hours of searching for the problem and contact to the support - the issue is solved. YES 🙂

Kind regards Mona
