This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.

Problem:
After migrating content from a test site to a live site, the client faced issues with the translation backend interface where brands were unavailable. Specific problems included the inability to add or update translated products in brand categories, and navigational issues on translated brand pages.
Solution:
We recommended the following steps to resolve the issue:
1. Navigate to WPML > Settings > Category Translation.
2. Locate Brand (product_brand) and set up different aliases for your brand in different languages. Change 'Brands' to 'Brand'.
3. Click save.
We advised the client to check if the issue was resolved by visiting their brand page.

If this solution does not resolve your issue, or if it seems outdated or irrelevant to your case, we highly recommend checking related known issues at https://wpml.org/known-issues/, verifying the version of the permanent fix, and confirming that you have installed the latest versions of themes and plugins. If problems persist, please open a new support ticket at WPML support forum for further assistance.

Background of the issue:
I just migrated the content from the test site to the live site. In the test site’s translation system, brands functioned normally. However, after moving to the live site, I encountered issues with the translation backend interface where brands are unavailable. Link to a page where the issue can be seen: hidden link

Symptoms:
1. I can’t add translated products to a specific brand category or update product categories, but everything works fine on the original language page. 2. The translated brand page shows 'can’t be found.' 3. In the translation backend interface under Products >> Brands, viewing individual brand pages also shows 'page can’t be found.' 4.In the translation backend, I cannot update any brand.

Questions:
How can I update my brand content in the translation backend page?
How can I make the translated brand page navigable?
How can I add translated products to a specific brand category?
How can I update product categories for translated products?

Thanks for contacting us.

I will need to closely examine your website. Therefore, I will require temporary access (WP-Admin and FTP) to a test site where the problem has been replicated, if possible. This will enable me to provide better assistance and determine if any configurations need to be modified.

Please note that it is important to have a backup for security purposes and to prevent any potential data loss. You can use the UpdraftPlus plugin (https://wordpress.org/plugins/updraftplus/) to fulfill your backup requirements.

Your upcoming reply will be treated with confidentiality and will only be visible to you and me.

✙ To resolve the issue, I may need your consent to deactivate and reactivate plugins and the theme, as well as make configuration changes on the site if necessary. This emphasizes the significance of having a backup.

This is what I've done to fix the issue.

1. Navigate to WPML > Settings > Category Translation

2. Locate Brand (product_brand) > Set up different aliases for your brand in different languages. > Changed Brands to Brand

3. Click save.

The brand page is now accessible, thank you very much!

However, I am still unable to update existing products to a specific brand, modify the product category of existing products, or change the product images to different ones.

Example product: hidden link
• I would like to add this product to the brand: Mumuzi
• I would like to change its categories to: Underwear Fetish, Panty Fetish, Mumuzi Panty Fetish
• I would like to update the SEO preview image and the featured product image.

I would appreciate your help in resolving these issues. Thank you!
