This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.

Problem:
The client needed to change a taxonomy called "Location" to be global and not translatable. However, after making this change, updating the "Location" categories in the primary language post did not update the categories in the translated posts as it did before.
Solution:
We recommend setting the "Location" taxonomy to "Translatable" to enable synchronization across translated posts. If the taxonomy is set to "Not translatable", the synchronization of categories will not occur. For more information on how to set taxonomy terms to be translatable, please visit our documentation:
Translating Post Categories and Custom Taxonomies.

Hi.

We had a taxonomy called "Location" that was also translated to other languages. This meant that when saving post in Primary language and changing its "Location" categories, the "Location" categories were also updated on the translated posts. That was fine.

But the problem is that we needed to change the taxonomy "Location" to be global/not being translatable. But in this case when updating the post in primary language, it will not update the "Location" categories on the translated posts as it did before. Is there any way to enable/enhance this to work?

Thank you

Hello,

This will only be solvable if you set the category to "Translatable".

There will not occur any sync if the category is set to "Not translatable".
