The Headline and Super Headline aren't translating.

This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.

Problem:
The client was facing an issue where the Titles and Subtitles on the Team Page were not translating correctly after translating the page into Traditional and Simplified Chinese, Thai, and Vietnamese. The changes made in the Traditional Chinese page Titles and Subheadlines were reverting to English. Additionally, the client was confused about whether to translate pages first or to use string translation, and was concerned about potential duplication in translations.

Solution:
We recommended ensuring that translations are 100% complete in WPML Translation Editors (Advanced or Classic). If the strings are not found in the Translation Editor, they should be translated using String Translation. We provided a guide to help locate strings that do not appear on the String Translation page: https://wpml.org/documentation/getting-started-guide/string-translation/finding-strings-that-dont-appear-on-the-string-translation-page/.

We also clarified that strings from page builders might appear in both the Translation Editor and String Translation, but there is no need to translate them twice. The Translation Editor should be used first, and if the strings are not available there, then String Translation should be used. We suggested testing by translating the same string in both places with different translations to see which one takes precedence, although the Translation Editor's translation should take precedence.

glennY	Hi There, I translated the Team Page (English) hidden link into Traditional and simplified Chinese, Thai, and Vietnamese. Everything was translated except for the Headline and Subheadline. I have tried going into the Traditional Chinese page and editing the Titles and Subheadlines, but the changes don't seem to hold. They revert to English. hidden link Please advise, Jason

I see here hidden link it is translated correctly while on other languages it isn't. So I believe it is a matter of translating correctly for the other languages too. For example, if you're using WPML Translation Editors (Advanced or Classic), make sure translations are 100% complete. On the other hand, if you are using String Translation, then same goes here too (i.e. translate these strings in all languages). In case, if you're unable to find the strings in ST, you can consult this guide https://wpml.org/documentation/getting-started-guide/string-translation/finding-strings-that-dont-appear-on-the-string-translation-page/. Can you please explain more about it, if none of the above is helpful? Looking forward.

glennY	Hi Waqas, For the Team page, each team member (Executives, Managers, Audit Committee and Sales, R&D and QA) has a photo with a name and subtitle. After translating the page, the Titles and Subtitles are not translating. I have found the strings but they are not conveniently located on one string, even though they are from the same page. I have several pages that belong to the "Investor Information" menu. I was going to translate these as pages, but I also see them in the string translation. This confuses me. Should I be translating pages first and only after I finish translating all pages, then start looking for string translations? Are these page translations and string translations mutually exclusive? It seems that they appear in both pools. I mean, If I do a page translation, will the string be removed from the string translation pool? It seems to me that there will be a duplication of the translation. hidden link Please advise, Jason

Waqas Bin Hasan Supporter Languages: English (English ) Timezone: Asia/Karachi (GMT+05:00)	String translation usually contains the same strings that are on the page also. This is because of the page builder content. In a normal scenario, for example a compatible page builder and its widgets/elements/blocks, these strings are present when you translate a page and you can translate it from the translation editor. Otherwise, you can also find these strings in ST. You don't need to translate these twice. If you are translating a page and don't find strings in the translation editor, then probably you'll need to translate these from ST. So I'll suggest to try translation editor first, if that doesn't help, then try string translation. For testing if you find same string in both places, you can try different translation in both, to see which overtakes. But as per my understanding, the translation editor one should take precedence. Please let me know.
