This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.
Problem:
The client was experiencing an issue where activating the WPML String Translation plugin caused products to disappear from the WooCommerce product category archives in the secondary language.
Solution:
We found that within WooCommerce > WooCommerce Multilingual > Multicurrency settings, the option "Show only products with custom prices in secondary currency" was enabled. This setting was causing the products to not display because there were no products with manually set prices in the secondary currency. By deactivating this setting, the translated products started to appear correctly in the translated category archives.
If you're experiencing this issue, we recommend checking the Multicurrency settings in WooCommerce Multilingual and ensuring that the "Show only products with custom prices in secondary currency" option is disabled unless you are manually adding prices in the secondary currency for each product.
Please note that this solution might be irrelevant if it's outdated or not applicable to your case. We highly recommend checking the related known issues, verifying the version of the permanent fix, and confirming that you have installed the latest versions of themes and plugins.
