This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.

Problem:
The client is trying to update the slug for a page's translation, but the href link is still showing the old slug.

Solution:
1. Go to the site's backend > Pages.
2. Switch to the Vietnamese language using the top menu bar.
3. Hover over the translation and select "Quick Edit".
4. Edit the URL slug there and save your changes.
5. Go to Settings > Permalinks and re-save them to ensure the changes take effect.
For more details, you can refer to our documentation on adding hreflang to WordPress.
Additionally, check out this guide on how to regenerate your permalinks in WordPress.

Tell us what you are trying to do?
I updated the slug for a page's translation (eg. vi/case-studies to vi/cac-du-an-tieu-bieu), but the href link is still showing up as vi/case-studies. Is there anywhere to force update the href link to reflect the new slug?

Is there any documentation that you are following?
https://wpml.org/documentation/support/adding-hreflang-wordpress/

Is there a similar example that we can see?
You can see in the screenshot of what's intended. Link for reference: hidden link

What is the link to your site?
This is one of the few affected pages: hidden link

Thank you

Hi there.

Can you please go into the site's backend > Pages > then switch to Vietnamese language from the top menu bar in the backend of the site > then hover over that translation and select "quick edit" > and edit the URL there and save.

Because it seems that the actual URL is still this (hidden link) not the one that you want.

Please let us know if it is saved now.

Also, you can go to Settings > Permalinks > and re-save them after you follow the steps above:
hidden link

I hope that you will find that information helpful.

Found the solution elsewhere: /case-studies is a CPT created with ACF Pro, and I set the "has archive" to true. I just needed to switch "has archive" to false and that solved the problem.
