Background of the issue:
I am working on a site under development and need help with translating the footer using WPML. I have configured the translation for each language as advised by the developers. I enabled the option to translate the footer template and created the translation.

Symptoms:
Only the English version of the footer is being displayed on each language, despite having created translations.

Questions:
Can you help me with translating the footer?
Why is only the English version of the footer being displayed on each language?

Hello!
I replicated the issue on your domain and everything is working well... It seems that the issue is only on my development domain. I'm sending screenshots:

Hi,

Thank you for checking that. So it might be some sort of cache or something on your installation?

I can try to copy your website directly to our server via Cloudways Migrator and see what happens there.

As it will be the exact copy of the website it will show if any sort of server related problem is the culprit or not.

I can do that for you but I will need the login information again as it is deleted from the chat session.

please set the next reply as private and provide the login info so I can do the test by copying ther sbite.

Thanks.

Hello, I managed to solve the problem in meantime. I created a new footer template, redid the translations for each language, I had to select the correct footer template in the "Theme options" (hidden link).

On each page, I had to set the Inherit option for the Footer Layout (hidden link), and now everything works perfectly. I did the same process yesterday, but it didn’t work, so I’m not sure what exactly caused the problem...

Thank you and kind regards!
