This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.

Problem:
You are experiencing issues where the formatting, including 'enters'/white spaces, is missing on your translated pages. Additionally, shortcodes that work on the original version of your site do not function on the translated pages.
Solution:
We recommend trying the workaround provided in the WPML errata for issues related to line breaks being ignored in the Advanced Translation Editor. You can find the specific steps and more details here: WPML Errata on Line Breaks.
If this solution does not resolve your issue or seems irrelevant due to being outdated or not applicable to your specific case, we highly recommend checking related known issues at WPML Known Issues, verifying the version of the permanent fix, and confirming that you have installed the latest versions of themes and plugins. Additionally, if you need further assistance, please open a new support ticket at WPML Support Forum.

Background of the issue:
Hello,

I try to translate my pages which works but for some reasons all the formatting is missing on the translated page. Is this expected result or can I fix this in one way that the formatting is correct?

Also using functions.php we have shortcodes we use across or website which works fine on the Dutch (orginal version) but not on the translated one, why is that?

Thanks for reaching us. Sorry, I can't seem to open this link hidden link without an access.

I will need to closely examine your website. Therefore, I will require temporary access (WP-Admin and FTP) to a test site where the problem has been replicated, if possible. This will enable me to provide better assistance and determine if any configurations need to be modified.

Please note that it is important to have a backup for security purposes and to prevent any potential data loss. You can use the UpdraftPlus plugin (https://wordpress.org/plugins/updraftplus/) to fulfill your backup requirements.

Your upcoming reply will be treated with confidentiality and will only be visible to you and me.

✙ To resolve the issue, I may need your consent to deactivate and reactivate plugins and the theme, as well as make configuration changes on the site if necessary. This emphasizes the significance of having a backup.

Hello,

Thank you I had a call today with someone of WPML and she told me someone else was having the same problem here:

https://wpml.org/forums/topic/formats-for-blank-rows-as-spaces-between-content-doesnt-copy-to-translated-version/

I cant see the topic because its private, but would it be possible to keep an eye for it to see if they come up with a solution?

Right now I dont have a test site live so I cant only add you to live website, but since there is no rush I am fine to wait if they find a solution in the case above.

Thanks for your reply.

I've checked that private ticket and it is still under investigation. Alright then, I will let you know once there are updates.

Thank you Kor for the quick response.

So I did put German live so you would be able to see my issue and see if its the same as the other thread.

I did automatic translation for this page:
Original: hidden link
Translated: hidden link

As you can see in the original I had a lot more 'enters'/ white spaces on the page. But for some reason I dont see these in the translated version.

We use the white spaces/enters to make it easier to read. How can we fix this?

Thanks for your reply.

Could you try the workaround from this errata https://wpml.org/errata/line-breaks-are-ignored-when-using-the-advanced-translation-edior/ and see if it helps?
