Tell us what you are trying to do?
Is it possible to copy a webpage (e.g. example.com) to (e.g.) example.fr (different wordpress installation on different server located in the target country) and then with one click translate (with deepl api key) the complete website to French (and remove any kind of language switcher// remove the english language)?

Will it translate "everything" everywhere (we are using Divi Builder and Template)?
(database, files in child-template etc.)

Thank you in advance!

Hi there.

Sorry for the delayed response - there has been a full ticket queue in the past few days and there has also been a weekend where not so many of us, supporters, are working.

1. A website needs to have at least 2 languages set up/configured within WPML settings.

2. You could duplicate them, and then for the duplicated site, you would need to change the default language to the other one, and then you can hide the second language.

3. As far as I know, you can't use your DeepL account with WPML.

You have to purchase credits or use the pay-as-you-go subscription and the costs are calculated as shown in our documentation here (check the FAQ section - "How much does automatic translation cost?"):
https://wpml.org/documentation/automatic-translation/automatic-translation-pricing/#how-automatic-translation-works-lnk

4. In regards to the automatic translation process, it should translate all the content that WPML is able to see. Depending on any existing plugins or the active theme, if any of them adds extra functionality (for example custom Divi blocks and widgets), WPML might not be able to see them straight away, there might be some code required to have WPML see those, too.

But I recommend that you create a full website backup before starting to do anything and then do not hesitate to get back to us by creating unique tickets per any unique issue that you are experiencing so that we can properly handle each of them.

That would be the best advice that I can give at this point.

I hope that you will find this information helpful. 🙂
