Hi Philippe, all your ‘text’ content is stored in WordPress SQL tables. What exactly would you like to translate? Can you give me more details please? I’ll be happy to answer your question.
Philippe, what do you mean by ‘no tools’? Could you please give me more details? The more I know, the easier it will be for me to give you a precise answer.
Why don’t have you a search engine in this page! I wanted to ask if SQL texts are also translated (categories e.g.) and I cannot post this request. I received the information “same question already posted”
Can all texts in different sql tables be translated and used in a multilingual website?
I didn’t find any information related to that in your documentation.
Hi Michael, we are also the authors of Toolset pugins. And some of our Toolset demo sites (which are available for free) use WPML.
Please go here: http://discover-wp.com/
and choose one of these:
Bootstrap Real Estate
Bootstrap Commerce
they use WPML. This way you will be able to see WPML in action.
Hi,
Can I find a list with the languages you translate to and from? Also, I am making a budget. How much would a translation of 100 words be and are there different prices for different languages?
Kind regards
Tommu Gjedde
Hello ,
So if I bought a wordpress theme that doesn’t support RTL and then i’ll buy the WPML plugin .
it will help me to make the theme in Arabic ?
thanks,
Hi there ,
I bought Multilingual CMS more than 1 hour ago and still don’t get the activation mail from (edited) Can you help me. Here is my detailed information
I still don’t get the mail. I checked my spam and its not there unfortunately. And also I clicked the link that you sent, it not accept my mail address.
Please help me, I have a limited time to finish the web site..
I have one question before purchase: my theme is using several custom post types (portfolio, team…) and that custom posts are displayed on pages with specific template.
Can you tell me is it possible to limit query to specific language? For example, Portfolio page in German to display only portfolio items created in German language?
Hello,
it is not only possible to limit query to specific language but also recommended. The idea is to keep different languages on different pages and not to mixed the translation on a single page displayed. This way your site will be easier to index by search engines bots and will be more friendly to your visitors.
Hi Willy,
if you don’t renew your license after one year (it refers to Multilingual Blog or Multilingual CMS), your WPML will still work. You just loose access to future upgrades and support. If you purchase Multilingual CMS Lifetime you will get unlimited access to WPML upgrades and support, in other words it means that you pay only once if you buy the third option.
I have a corporate client who require a multilingual facility for one of their websites. In this case it is an upmarket hotel and will need to have both Chinese and Japanese versions available. We are using a bespoke theme template specifically designed for the client with multiple plugins and external services available. Before purchasing the lifetime version of WPML can you suggest any complications that might arise.
Hi Richard,
I would advise you to check your plugin for WPML compatibility first. Some tips and hints:
– is it included in our theme compatibility list
– is “WPML readiness” mentioned at the theme site etc.
i would like to build the website URLs without any language additions as /en/ or lang?=en or en.domain.com.
But these three are the only options i can choose.
But i want to have clean, translated URLs, so german should be e.g.:
domain.com/deutscher-name
and the english translation simply as
domain.com/english-translation
Is this possible with WPML in another way even if it is not available in the options? (at least not in the version that i have from when i was customer already. if in the actual version this is possible, i would consider an update)
before answering your question let me explain a few details.
The main reason for making your site multilingual is to reach more customers. To reach more customers your site should be friendly to your visitors and easy to indexed by search engines as well.
With WPML and these 3 different possibilities to URLs we you’re mentioning, try to help both.
These are official Google’s recommendations:
“There’s no need to create special URLs when developing a multilingual website. Nonetheless, your users might like to identify what section of your website they’re on just by glancing at the URL. For example, the following URLs let users know that they’re on the English section of this site:
OK This is really not a presale question, it’s more like an aftersale or should I really continue? I received an email if I should renew my WPML subcsription and I am not really sure. Konrad released a version to early that (close to) completely sinked 10 of my sites. Took me several days to fix, and the release after that was bad too. Andrea never really answer the support questions, but prefer to have some kind of philosophical discussions delaying the problems several days, some support questions are opened by WPML support but then nothong happens for a month or so……etc etc., My question, how will WPML compensate for all this? Lifelong free subscription or…………….
Dear Olofs,
I’m sorry to hear you had some issues with WPML. I consulted it with the people here who knew your case and it looks the the main cause of your problems was your theme incompatibility. If this is the case indeed maybe it would be best to start using WPML with different themes?
I’m sorry but we don’t prolong to lifetime as a compensation. We have a Refunds Policy http://wpml.org/purchase/refunds-policy/
it says about 30 days of your purchase date but we can consider your specific case individually.
Good Morning. The other day my father sick and had to go into hospital, just when I had to renew my subscription. I am a member for years and now I see that I must pay otravez 79 $ instead of my $ 39 renewal. Can this be solved or have you consideraciós after so many years?
Thank you and wait in expectation.
A greeting,
David Barragán
For our customers who missed the renewal you offer lifetime license with a discount. You will see the details in your WPML account. If you are a member from years wouldn’t it be more beneficial to consider lifetime license instead of paying each year again and again?
What I am looking for is an English and Chinese website. I hit one button on the homepage and everything is translated into English or Chinese. All Widgets, etc. Is this hard to accomplish with your plugin?
Hi Ted,
thanks for you interest in WPML. WPML doesn’t translate your content automatically, it extends your WordPress site with the possibilities to translate various WordPress elements, including widgets. By the way it is recommended by search engines to provide human made translations. If you don’t have access to professional translators, you can use our ICanLocalize service which is fully supported and integrated with WPML.
Hi, i’m sorry there are not 🙁
But please note that you can use one WPML license for all the sites you are building for your customers so the investment should pay off quickly.
I like to buy your plugin but first i need to ask you to find out if your plugin is compatible with ZeeTasty pro theme. I bought this theme and i like to use it with your plugin.
Hi Stanislav,
every WordPress theme and plugin can become compatible with WPML. If your theme is included in our theme compatibility list, it should work with WPML without any problems.
If it’s not, you can ask the theme author to join our program program or to make the theme WPML ready yourself, if you have some skills. Here you will find more tips and hints: http://wpml.org/documentation/support/achieving-wpml-compatibility-for-your-themes-and-plugins/
I am building a website using woocommerce and their bookings plugin and I found out that your plugin doesn’t work with booking plugin and that the currency wont convert if its a booking product. I need it urgent if you guys can fix this problem asap i will make the purchase right away..
Hi Fons,
WPML lets you translate various WordPress elements, including custom post types. If your various elements are ‘translation ready’ they will also work in parallax site.
And is it posible to try WPML for a while? A (few) day(s) or so. See if it works.
$79 USD is a bit much to pay to find out it isn’t suitable for what we need.
We are also the authors of Toolset pugins. And some of our Toolset demo sites (which are available for free) use WPML.
Please go here: http://discover-wp.com/
and choose one of these:
Bootstrap Real Estate
Bootstrap Commerce
they use WPML. This way you will be able to see WPML in action.
ok, but this is not what I meant.
I’m sure it works well and I it’s easy to use etc etc.
I just want to make sure it works well on our one-page parallax site.
We would for sure buy WPML if we were certain of that.
It would be nice to try it in our theme, for a short period of time. So it would be great if you could provide a demo plugin with a key or whatever.
we are a company planning to purchase the WMPL plugin and we will need an invoice for this purpose (something with our corporate data, not just first and last name). Can you provide us with an invoice?
Yesterday I purchased the Multilingual CMS Lifetime version of WPML but have not received the confirmation email. I have checked my spam folder but it is not there. I have tried the password reset facility but my account does not exist.
We are looking for a multilingual plugin and yours seems awesome, but we rely heavily on the Advanced Custom Fields (ACF) plugin: http://www.advancedcustomfields.com/ I searched your support site and found numerous posts from early 2013 from people saying WPML isn’t compatible with ACF and posts from moderators suggesting it was “in the works” but I don’t see it listed on your compatible plugins page now almost 2 years later. Can you tell me for certain if ACF is compatible with your plugin or not?
So Multilingual CMS costs $79 for the first year and $39 for each next. If you want to pay only once, you can consider buying a lifetime license: $195.
Hi Saji, thanks for your interest in WPML. Since there are a few eCommerce plugins available with similar names, could you please give me the full name and a link to your plugin?
For sure WPML is fully compatible with WooCommerce Multilingual plugin https://wordpress.org/plugins/woocommerce-multilingual/
because this one was created by the same company.
I have a wordpress site with woocommerce. I need to how different pricings for different countries and show in the appropriate currency. So for example a product would show £20 to UK customers and $30 to US customers. Does your plugin do this?

If you use this setting presented in slide no 8. your visitors will be redirected to a page in their language (providing they have their local language set in their browsers).

Are text on SQL tables also translates?

Hi Philippe, all your ‘text’ content is stored in WordPress SQL tables. What exactly would you like to translate? Can you give me more details please? I’ll be happy to answer your question.
Hi Agnes,
All email templates are stored in a SQL table I want to be sure that WPML manages it for a multilangual website.
Philippe
Hi,
Does no answer means no tools included in WPML to do it?
Regards
Philippe, what do you mean by ‘no tools’? Could you please give me more details? The more I know, the easier it will be for me to give you a precise answer.
Hi Philippe. Where do the email templates come from? From your plugin? What is the name of the plugin?
Hi Agnes,
The plugin is wpjobboard
I’m sorry it looks like this plugin is not compatible with WPML:
http://wpjobboard.net/blog/wpjobboard-4-0-beta/
It’s not in our plugin compatibility list either.

Hi again.
You can always use Google search, for example:
site:http://wpml.org/purchase/pre-sales-questions/ “SQL tables”
answering your question. Yes, you can translate categories with WPML.

Hi Fons,
WPML lets you translate various WordPress elements, including custom post types. If your various elements are ‘translation ready’ they will also work in parallax site.
A tricky part might be dealing with custom theme options. So it’s good to make sure in advance if your theme is WPML ready or to create so called WPML config file. More info:

Hi Agnes,
The emails have just come through and I’ve managed to access my account and download the plugin.
Thanks for your help.
Great, thanks.
You should have received an email from Mercedes Barreda.
Hi,
I just purchased the lifetime account but it seems the system doesn’t recognise me.
I’ve the paypal invoice if you need it.
Please let me know asap,
I’m in need of a quick fix on the media translation plugin.
Thanka!
Hi Martino,
we are right now checking it in our system and we will contact you.
Hi Brian,
ACF is not completely WPML compatible. ACF is supposed to be doing a major update and our compatibility team is waiting for that.
Does this plugin support wp-ecommerce?
Oh i forgot to ask what the yearly cost is for and if that is necessary.
Here are the prices for WPML licenses:
http://wpml.org/purchase/
So Multilingual CMS costs $79 for the first year and $39 for each next. If you want to pay only once, you can consider buying a lifetime license: $195.
WooCommerce Multilingual plugin is free.
Hi Saji, thanks for your interest in WPML. Since there are a few eCommerce plugins available with similar names, could you please give me the full name and a link to your plugin?
For sure WPML is fully compatible with WooCommerce Multilingual plugin

We are looking to have a website with a landing page that can be geo targeted by IP address to pull up that translated text for 33 different countries. Does your product do that?
Hi Tori,
Currently WPML can automatically redirect visitors according to browser language.
Agnes, can you elaborate on this? I am not sure if I understand. Is it IP related or if they are using a browser with a particular language like French? Is there documentation I can see so I can show my clients? It is 33 languages which they are translating into a landing page each. How would it work if someone in France went to the homepage and it automatically redirected them to the french landing page??
I guess slides no 6 and 8 from my presentation might be helpful here.
http://www.slideshare.net/agabu/10-common-mistakes-wordpress-developers-make-when-building-multilingual-sites
The no 6. slide shows how you set your language in your browser.
So you will need to configure WPML with 33 languages, create the landing page, then translate it to the 33 languages.
If you use this setting presented in slide no 8. your visitors will be redirected to a page in their language (providing they have their local language set in their browsers).
