Hi,
I currently work for a non-profit organization in Turkey. I am currently developing a multi-language site for a group of churches here. They are not a part of our non-profit and I don’t know if they could produce any kind of certificate that would correspond to a US non-profit status certificate. Is it possible to get a non-profit license for this site?
Hi,
I’m using a plugin called Dokan on my site, and would like to know if you will be able to help me implementing it. Dokan does not support wpml at this point.
Our supporters can help you with the basics but please note that it can turn out that the plugin requires some changes to be done by the plugin author.
You’re welcome to try WPML with it and see how they work. If, after all, WPML does not suit your needs we will refund you right away. You have up to 30 days to try it http://wpml.org/purchase/refunds-policy/
Hi Elin,
if you renew your license before it expires, you can renew it at a discount price. You will see a link in your WPML account. We are sending automated notifications before your expiration date. Let us check in our system if such notification was sent to you. If not, we will extend your license for a few days and you will be able to extend it using the discount. If however it turns out that the notification was sent, you will need to purchase it again or extend to Lifetime.
Dear Elin, since we didn’t send you the notification, your WPML subsciption has been extended manually until 31st of December. Please go and extend it using the discount price.
Hi Bret,
yes, in this case you will pay only the difference. In your WPML account you will find a link to upgrad from Multilingual CMS to Multilingual CMS Lifetime.
We are a Hong Kong base fashion company who are interested in building our e-commerce website with Woo commerce. As in Hong Kong Chinese and English are both important languages, we need a software like yours which can provide multi-languages function.
We would like to know whether you have trial version for us to download, so out IT staff can try with it and see whether this is the tools that we want.
Thanks a lot for your help. We are looking forward to hearing from you soon.
Hi Katie,
sorry there is not demo/trial version but please go and purchase it. If it doesn’t satisfy your needs, we will give your money back: http://wpml.org/purchase/refunds-policy/
I’m building Amazon affiliate shop and i would like to know does WPML work well with WooCommerce and Amazon Affiliates – WordPress Plugin? And if i buy your plugin can i use it with my other sites as well?
Hi Andy, yes, WPML works well with WooCommerce plugin. We use it ourselves. About ‘Amazon Affiliates – WordPress’ plugin – we didn’t test it. Yes, you need to buy only one WPLM license and you can use WPML for all your sites or the sites you are building for you customers.
I understand from a WordPress Ideas thread that your team is offering free licenses to non-profit websites and organisations. First off, I’d like to say that’s absolutely fantastic. It’s not often that I come across organisations willing to extend their products at reduced price for non-profit organisations.
I run an independent magazine funded by the editorial team and entirely run by volunteers. We have no advertisements on site and publicly declare that we intend not to have any. As we are based in a country (Singapore) where registering as a non-profit is a monumental task that is expensive and time-consuming, we have no official non-profit status.
I was wondering if you might be willing to accept an application for a non-profit license without the requisite certificate. Please do let me know. We would greatly appreciate it.
I will notify that people responsible for handling non-profits about your specific case and we will take your request into consideration. We will contact you by email soon.
Hello ,
I am using WPML Multilingual CMS Plugin. I have issue with taxonomy. When I duplicate newly created post in another language like french or russian the taxonomy getting mixed up with another language. I have created taxonomy like “Features”. When I duplicate the post then some taxonomies moved up in another language. Please help me to solve this issue. If the solution is possible by upgrading the plugin in another version. So I can purchase it solve the issue. Thank In Adv.
Thanks for the quick reply. I tried to do that before. As support my license expired I can not do that. I have sent an email through contact form. And had suggested me to contact through Pre-sales Questions. If you can confirm that if the issue we are facing will be resolved in the latest version. Please assist me asap.
Hi Jason, thank you for the details. Now it is clear. I just contacted our WPML support team and they confirm. It is a known issue. The problem doesn’t persist in the latest stable WPML version (3.1.8.4). So please go and upgrade. If you problem will not be solved automatically after the upgrade, please contact our support forum and they will assist you with needed steps.
Hi Matteo,
it depends on your needs. If you have a simple blog running on WordPress the 29$ version should be enough. You will be able to translate menus, posts and pages with this version. If your site is bigger, like a company site and you will probably need the CMS version – it will let you translate all elements, including images, theme dependent strings etc.
I already own “Multilingual Blog” and have been using it for quite some time. I would like to upgrade to “Multilingual CMS”. Does this mean I have to pay the full purchase price? Is this even technically possible?
Hi Richard,
thanks for using WPML and your question. If your Multilingual Blog subscription is still active, you can upgrade to CMS paying the difference only. If you log into your WPML account you should see a link for this there.
Hi Victor, yes, if you upgrade from Blog to CMS, or from CMS to Lifetime subscription you always pay the difference only. And you will find relevant links to do so in your WPML account.
Hi Pierre,
you are right: from what we know WPML is the only plugin on the market that support WooCommerce in terms of making your shops multilingual. No, it is not recommended to have both plugins installed: WPML and Polylang. Here you will find some tips from our forum expert about migrating:
As you will see, some custom work will be required.
I’m not sure if Polylang works the same way as WPML does, but if so, when deactivating the plugin your posts and pages should stay in your WordPress. So your task will be to set a language for them and then make the connections between translations.
If there are not too many pages and posts in your site, you can also make the connections manually.
I want to replace the qTranslate plugin on my website and use yours. This has me worried. My site is made in Dutch & English and I’m afraid I’ll have to do all translations again.
Do I need to do something special before installing your plugin?
I think I need the Multilingual CMS? Or do you suggest something else?
which will help you with the migration. If you however come across some unexpected issues during the process, please ask your questions in our support forum.
Hi, For the site dewerff.net I want to implement multi language support (Dutch and English). My question is if WPML works together with SuperSkeleton theme? Kind regards, Martijn
but it simply means that we didn’t test it. Usually most elements of your theme work fine with WPML. There might be some issues with theme dependent strings like theme options.
Please note that you can use one WPML license for all the sites your are building so even it it turn out that this theme is not fully compatible with WPML, you will be able to use it for different sites.
Hi,
1. yes, please log into your WPML account and you should find a link for that. You only pay the difference.
2. yes, you can upgrade and you will not lose your translations, even if you deactivate your plugin
Hi I had originally wanted to test out WPML on our site before buying a lifetime license. The test encountered many problems and in the end I’ve had to rewrite much of the code for the site. I’d like to try again, but not bother with a yearly license, since I’m confident I can have it up and running without much hassle this time around. Where can I go about upgrading the license to a year? I can’t find it on our account.
Hi there,
if your WPML subscription is still valid, you will find a relevant link in your WPML account. If however it has already expired you have to purchase it again.
If I don’t provide a translation for a specific language (like French), and then a user from that country comes to my site, will Google still attempt to translate the page for them even if WPML is installed?
Hi David,
I’m not sure if I understand your question. But let me explain how WPML works and what it does. It allows you to post your post and pages in different languages in your WordPress. But it doesn’t translate your content automatically. You provide the translations. You don’t have to translate everything, for example some pages/post can be available in only one language. So if your site visitor would like to translate this particular page/post via google translator (like in the Chrome browser), he/she can still do it. Does this answer your question?
Hello! I have paid for your plugin, but your system fixed my email address todorov@vision.netgalaxy.biz not correctly (todorov@vision.netgalaxybiz). I can’t take the paid plugin. Please, help me to take the plugin.
Hi there,
We’ve bought wpml a year ago.
After asking the question if it was possible to start with the one-year plan and upgrade to the lifetime plan when we liked wpml we received a confirming message it was possible.
We want to upgrade to lifetime but need to pay the full price for it.

You can create it yourself if you are a programmer but usually in such cases we ask the theme author to join our compatibility program and we help to create such a file.
You should be able to translate all other elements without problems (post, pages, categories, menus, widgtets, etc).
Please note that you can use one WPML license for all the sites you are building, so you can consider buying it and use for different themes, if it turns out that id won’t work with this particular theme.

Yes, WPML allows you to redirect your users according to the language set in their browser. You need to enable this option in WPML setting, it is switched off by default.

Hi Lee,
the certificate doesn’t need to be a US like. Please apply to our non-profits page with what you have:
http://wpml.org/purchase/non-profits/
I will also notify the people here responsible for non-profit requests about your case.
Do the non-profits organizations still have a free deal for WPML?
It seems that the URL you gave is 404:
https://wpml.org/purchase/non-profits/
Hello,
unfortunately, we no longer have any free offer for the non-profits organizations.
Hi,
The link is broken:

Does WPML still offer nonprofit discounts?
Kerry
Unfortunately, we don’t. We need to remove that page. Thanks for letting us know.
Hi,
I’m using a plugin called Dokan on my site, and would like to know if you will be able to help me implementing it. Dokan does not support wpml at this point.
Thanks,
L.
Hi,
Thanks for asking. You can see here a list of compatible themes/plugins
http://wpml.org/documentation/theme-compatibility/
http://wpml.org/documentation/plugins-compatibility/
Dokan is not on the list, but it only means we haven’t tested it. Still, if the author has followed WordPress documentation thoroughly the theme/plugin should be basically compatible.
I purchased a license about 1 year ago & I need the updated version now. But I can’t see an option to renew my license.
Is there any way to renew the license instead of Purchasing it again ?

Hi
This is the second time I am emailing you.
May I know if I were to purchase (Multilingual CMS) and decided to go for (Multilingual CMS Lifetime).

Hi Bret,
yes, in this case you will pay only the difference. In your WPML account you will find a link to upgrad from Multilingual CMS to Multilingual CMS Lifetime.

Hi,
we built the website with polylang a few month ago. Now we need to add woocommerce. It seems that polylang don’t work with woocommerce.
What can we do ? Can we install both WPML and polylang ?

Hello,
I want to know is this plugin support marathi language? Thanks in advance
Hello,
thanks for your question.
When you install WPML, you get over 60 pre-configured languages, ready to use. Here’s the list:
http://wpml.org/documentation/getting-started-guide/language-setup/pre-configured-languages/
As you will see there is no marati language on that list, but it’s not a big deal. In such case you can add it manually. This tutorial will help you: http://wpml.org/documentation/support/editing-wpmls-languages-table/
Please note that WPML doesn’t translate your content automatically.

Yes, this is possible and works exactly as you think: you only pay the difference in such case.
Hi
I purchased the blog/cheapest alternative and now I feel I would rather like one of the other two.
1. Can I upgrade to another and get a better price since I just bought this a few days ago?

Could you please answer that question?
Thank you.
Rui
Hi Rui,
this theme is not on our compatibility list
http://wpml.org/documentation/theme-compatibility/
but it only means we didn’t test it. To translate theme options (elements which depend on a particular theme) you will need so called wpml-config file:
http://wpml.org/documentation/support/language-configuration-files/
You can create it yourself if you are a programmer but usually in such cases we ask the theme author to join our compatibility program and we help to create such a file.
You should be able to translate all other elements without problems (post, pages, categories, menus, widgtets, etc).
Please note that you can use one WPML license for all the sites you are building, so you can consider buying it and use for different themes, if it turns out that id won’t work with this particular theme.
We also have a refunds policy:
http://wpml.org/purchase/refunds-policy/
so you are not risking anything buying WPML.
Hello Agnes,
Thank you for the fast answer 🙂
I probably gonna buy WPML.
Best Regards!
Rui
Hi,
I would like to know if I can use WPML for more websites? If yes how does it works. As I have 3 websites in total?
Thank you so much
Hi Constantin,
yes, you can use one WPML license for all the sites you are building. You install your WPML plugin as any other WordPress plugin. So you need to install it in each of your sites separately.
hi, I am installing Porto WP theme from themeforest and will want to direct users to either english or french side of the blog. will this be possible with the Blog version? Is it compatible with Porto WP? Will users be able to only see one language at a time?

Hi Jason,
thanks for your question.
Yes, WPML allows you to redirect your users according to the language set in their browser. You need to enable this option in WPML setting, it is switched off by default.
The Porto theme is not listed here:
http://wpml.org/documentation/theme-compatibility/
but it only means that we didn’t test it. It might work fine. Usually 80% of your sites elements should be translatable with WPML. Full theme compatibility assures that you will be able to translate theme specific features. We also have a refunds policy:
http://wpml.org/purchase/refunds-policy/
so if it turns out that you are not satisfied with WPML, you will give your money back.

Hi,
I´ld like to ask when I use the WPML Plugin (lifetime) – can i use it for several website i make …? Or just for one website…
thank you and
best,

Hi Michael,
thanks for your question and interest in WPML. The good news is you buy only one license and you can use it for all sites you are building, for yourself or your customers. That’s pretty cool, isn’t it? 🙂 Happy using!
thanks a lot Agnes. That´s really fine news 🙂
have a great day,
Michael
