  1. If I buy the regular Multilingual CMS account is there any way I can upgrade to the lifetime account paying the difference ($120)?

    Thanks!

  2. Hi
If i do not pay the renew amount, does the plugin stop working. Or just i will lose support and update.

    Thanks.

    • WPML will continue working on your sites. Your account is needed for support and upgrades. Of course, it’s a good idea to have all your plugins up to date in your sites, but nothing will just stop working because your account has expired.

  3. hi. we are a not for profit organisation for whom WPML kindly provided a free licence. it seems however that the subscription may have expired? the subscription key is NLKMF4La5v

do we need to reapply for a free subscription?

    thanks.

    d.

    • We’ll sort it out for you. Your non-profit account will turn to Lifetime, so that you can continue using WPML without interruptions.

    • hey amir. your a star. thanks so much. to stretch the favour a little – what do we do now?!! do i need to reinstall the plugin with the new version of WPML. we are showing as using 2.82?

  4. Hi Amir,

I am loosing my mind… I have a WPML MarketPress shipping plugin on my site, but I am unable to tailor it so that various countries have various shipping rates. How can I change that?

Thank you so much, in advance!

    Kind regards,
    Vika

    • You can use PayPal and pay via a PayPal e-check. It requires some registration in PayPal. Then, you can pay directly from your bank account. Will this work for you?

    • Sorry, but we don’t have a setup to accept direct wire transfers. I know that this is very popular in Germany, but we don’t have a German account and we don’t have this arrangement.

    • Sure. WPML comes pre-configured with all European languages and most Asian language. Spanish and Polish are pre-configured. If you even need a language that’s not configured in WPML (there are 40), you can use WPML’s GUI to add it.

    • Normally not. We spend quite a lot of effort on support for every client, so we try to keep non profits to organizations that have no funding, which we really need to support and help.

  5. Hi,

We are planning to migrate 16 different WP blogs (in various languages) into one new install using WPML. Many of the posts are the same content that has been translated into various languages.

To do this, we would like to export the existing blogs using WP’s export function and them import them into the new install. We would really like to keep the existing comments as well as posts, images and tags.

Would this be possible with WPML? What would be the process? I was hoping that we could import them and then assign them to their respective languages in WP’s backend.

I look forward to your response,

    Alex

    • Yup, this is very possible. Since translations will use separate posts, they will have their individual comments.

When you import the content into the new multilingual site, how will you know to match between translations? You could write a script that will produce the language information and get the imported posts to be linked as translations. For this, the import script will need to know what is translation of what. Do you have this information in your database?

      • The information is not currently included in the posts, no, but we keep an external record of which posts are in which language. This sounds like an option 🙂

    • Sorry, but we have just one pricing. We try to maintain a low and affordable rate, so that it’s good for everyone.

  6. This plugin works with all currencies and countries. Can I configure a site with Argentine Peso and USD as the available currencies?
How the plugin detects the users’ country?
    Thanks in advance,

    • Yes, WPML, with WooCommerce Multilingual, lets you run WooCommerce sites in different languages and currencies. You can configure a site with ARS / USD, English / Spanish.

If you want, you can display all currencies on all languages. You can also choose to limit currencies per language.

WPML detects the visitor’s language using the browser language setting. This is an optional feature, which you can enable and disable. Visitors can always switch to a different language using a language switcher that you include in the site.

      Does this help?

    • Renewals cost 50% of the original price. For Multilingual CMS, it’s $39 (USD) per year. You can also buy the Lifetime option for $195. This will give you upgrades and support for life, without the need to renew.

  7. Hi,

I’m currently using Jarvis as my theme and they have added compatibility with WPML 3.0.2. There seem to be problems with version 3.1.4 so will I be able to install version 3.0.2 if I purchase the plugin or only the newest version is available for download?

    Thanks.

  8. Hi,
I’m creating an online magazine. Spanish, Italian and possibly in English.
    I would like to ask:

If I purchase the Multilingual CMS, the translation that WPML offers is a automatic translation or there is any king of professional translation?

    Thank you,
    Best regards,
    Emanuele

  9. My account have expired in 4 Feb, now i can not download any product even the one that i bought with the last version released before expiration date. I want to download WPML 3.0 version relesesed on 11 november, in that date my subscription was valid.

    • I’m sorry, but our system is not set up this way. As long as your account is valid, you can log in, visit our support forum and download any version (current or past). Once expired, this login will not work. We are always working on new versions, which add features, improve performance and help keep your site up-to-date with new WordPress versions.

  10. Hi, we are thinking of purchasing your plugin for bi-lingual site with the WooCommerce Store. I was wondering if the price for CMS version (79 USD) covers everything we need or if we need to purchase some additional plugins or add-ons? Thank you for your answer

    • Yep. No additional hidden costs. The Multilingual CMS package, at $79, includes everything you need for multilingual WooCommerce sites.

  11. i have bought WPML 18 dec 2012, now i want to upgrade, but it not allow me, system told me that i can upgrade to a cheap price but the price it offers me is the same as regular price $ 29, what should i do to upgrade to last version? i have to buy again?

i have now 3.0.1, can you allow me to upgrade to 3.1.4?

    THank you

  12. Hi, I am curing using qTranslate but am realizing how silly it is that I can’t make different SEO inputs for each language. I am also a bit weary of how messy it’s making my site. Is this function possible in the Blog version?
    Thank you!

    • Yes, the basic Multilingual Blog lets you translate meta attributes and is fully compatible with SEO plugins. We recommend Yoast SEO, which is built nicely and is completely compatible with WPML. If you discover that you need the full functionality, you can always upgrade to the full ‘CMS’ version and only pay the difference.

    • Thanks for the reply, Amir.

I’d love to bother you with one more question.

If the website I am working on is for a program that a non-profit created and runs, could I apply for a non-profit subscription (even when the organization has a website already) for this site? They initiated this new website because they decided this specific program needs its own site to better promote it. Thanks again for your help.

      • Sure, you can apply. Please note that we have quite a few entries in that queue. We are actually doing our best to clear it as soon as possible, but it takes us time.

    • Lo sentimos, pero no disponemos de versiones de demostración de WPML. Ofrecemos reembolsos, si usted no es feliz. Si usted compra WPML y usted no está satisfecho, díganos y le devolveremos su pedido.

    • I don’t have experience with Editflow, so I can’t tell for sure. A quick Google search shows reports of compatibility problems both on their support and in our support forum. To get Editflow and WPML working together, we will need cooperation from Editflow authors. Do you want to reach out and check if they are interested?

      • Thanks for a fast reply! I like the support already 🙂 Well if it is not too much trouble I would be grateful. That plugin is relatively complex, since it is adding custom post statuses and lot of other fields.

But I believe lot of multi-author blogs are using it, since it is the best plugin for editorial process.

BTW I intend to use WPML to broaden the reach of most shared posts by translating them, since they are not in English we are loosing lot of link juice.

  13. Hello, I have a question.. I really like the plugin, I want to buy it mainly to test how it works.. I’d buy the cms version.. But if it works the way it says it does I’d like to buy the lifetime package. So my question is: if I buy the $70 version I’ll have to pay later the whole lifetime version? Or I’ll just have to pay the difference?

    Thank you

    Ps sorry for my English

    • That’s fine. You can buy the yearly account now ($79) and upgrade to a Lifetime account later. When you do that, we only ask for the difference in the price ($116). Your English is great 🙂
