Your WordPress and PHP versions are pretty old and we are no longer doing QA on this configuration. Probably most things will work, but I cannot guarantee full functionality.
Hi I am looking for a plugin where the language converted is our own produced text, for all aspects of the website. Could you just confirm with me that is the case please?
WPML lets you run WordPress sites with multiple languages. It doesn’t automatically translate your texts, but let you translate yourself. Is this what you are looking for?
Hi I would like to check if it will runs on site :
1) Multisite Support?
2) Can it translate WooCommerce Products and Plugins file downloads (http://wpfilebase.com) and Custom Fields (https://toolset.com)
3) What will the user see on the following scenario :
– Installed 2 languages for a website (Eng & Thai)
– Created a new Product in WooCommerce as “Umbrella”
– If the default english content was added but we did not add any content for Thai language, what will happen when user toggle the language to Thai? Can the Thai user still access to Umbrella in english content? or Umbrella will not be listed in the Thai Language website?
2. Yes, you can run complete multilingual WooCommerce sites with WPML. WPML is 100% compatible with Types and all other Toolset plugins. I’m not familiar with wpfilesbase.com.
3. Visitors will only see translated content. If a product is not translated to Thai, it will only appear in the English language. If you want, you can auto-duplicate all English products to Thai. This way, the same texts will appear in English and Thai. Then, you can gradually translate product information to Thai.
I am very interested to get WPML but I would like to check which scenario will work :
Scenario 1
– 3 different country domains points to each of the multilingual site?
example http://www.abc.com.my goes to Bahasa Language, http://www.abc.co.th goes to Thai Language
Scenario 2
– 3 different country domains requires ENG & 1 of the local language.
Example Country 1 – Malaysia requires ENG / Bahasa Language
Country 2 – Thailand requires ENG / Thai Language
Country 3 – Vietnam requires ENG / Viet Language
– Can the above be achieved with 1 WP installation and WPML plugin? or I should install into multisite and activate WPML plugin for each multisite?
hello I recently bought your plugin, but cannot download, I never receive the account password and your lost password funcion does not work properly.
this is my order order_539eb11ce37f4, could you please verify?
thanks…
If the theme isn’t in our compatibility list, it means that we haven’t tested it so we can’t be sure that there wont be any problems. However, most well written themes work with WPML without problems. I can see the theme is translation-ready and that a good sign.
If you do find problems, we will do our best to resolve them in our support forum and if things don’t work out you can request a refund.
Good afternoon.
I’m thinking to make my site multilingual and I have a question:
What happens with WordPress core strings such as: “Logged in as” or “Comment” appearing in the comments box. Will they appear in the string translation list?
Thanks so much
If these strings come from WordPress, then WPML will allow you to automatically download their translations. You can always also translate these strings from within WPML’s GUI.
Yes, WPML works fine with RTL sites too. It comes with its own complete RTL CSS for the WordPress admin and will set the RTL flag for the front-end. The theme needs to come with an RTL CSS, to display correctly. WPML tells the theme that it should load the RTL CSS, but the theme needs to have that file.
Hi, Civil Forum is Georgian NGO, and we have Georgian governmental website, were we can find information that Civil Forum is registered nonprofit, noncommercial organization. And I uploaded the screenshot of this webpage.
Yes, WPML lets you run a WordPress site in multiple languages, including English and Chinese. Please note that WPML doesn’t translate your content. It allows you to translate, or oursource to other translators.
Hi, If i purchase the CMS for 1 year and then would like to upgrade to the lifetime CMS, will I need to pay the full amount (195) or just pay the difference? Thank you
I need help with a problem with wpml and need to ask a question on the forum, but I cannot see a button to create a new question.
Where is the button or possibility to ask a new question?
thanks
Hi. I have a website which I would like to make multi-lingual for our distributors in European countries.
Will wpml re-direct customers to the translated pages if they type in a different domain to my main website? For example, I have a domain for belgium; if a customer in belgium types in the Belgian web address, will they be automatically re-directed to the Belgian translated pages on my main website?
Yes, WPML has this feature. It can redirect visitors according to their browser’s language setting (not IP). Usually, the browser language is a lot more accurate than IP detection.
WPML doesn’t come with such a language, but you can add it yourself. Then, you can translate to it.
WPML lets you run a WordPress site in multiple languages. You can translate, or send content offsite to translators. WPML doesn’t translate the content for you.
I wil renew my site to a better multi language site.
But i wanne know how does your plugin saves the translations
in the db? because i need a rest service for the post.
is every post translation a new record?
Yes, WPML uses separate posts for translations. So, if you use a REST service to work with content remotely, calls will receive content in one language at a time.
Hi WPML team,
We are looking into purchasing WPML for our client’s site, starting with 7 languages. How many languages can WPML/Wordpress handle? Also, what would you say upfront are your plugin’s general weaknesses and are there any known plugin conflicts?
I’d like to translate the text under my theme options and in plugins like Contact Form 7. I seem to recall that there’s an add-on plugin for this but I can’t find it on your site. Could you please point me in the right direction so I can purchase it? Many thanks.
I am using this on a clients website. He would like to own it, if I buy it using my credentials can I pass the license to him afterwards or does she have to do the purchasing process
Hi, I’m looking to use WPML on a WooCommerce installation and I’d like to know if you fully support multi-currency transactions on the PayPal and Braintree interfaces.
We’ve tested multi-currency on PayPal and it’s working fine. It should work on any other payment extension, but we haven’t tested. WooCommerce sets the currency to the payment processor. What our code does is set the currency to WooCommerce. So, as long as Braintree correctly receives the currency code from WooCommerce (unrelated to WPML), it will work fine and fully supported.
will this plugin work with PHP 5.2.17?
i have WP 3.3.1

1. Yes, WPML runs great on multisite networks.
2. Yes, you can run complete multilingual WooCommerce sites with WPML. WPML is 100% compatible with Types and all other Toolset plugins. I’m not familiar with wpfilesbase.com.

Have a look at this documentation for WooCommerce Multilingual:

Hi,
both scenarios are possible with WPML but require some work.
You can read more details here:
http://wpml.org/documentation/essential-multilingual-plugins/multilingual-site-network-with-domain-mapping/
http://wpml.org/2014/02/maintaining-client-sites-centrally-using-wpml-and-domain-mapping/
http://wpml.org/2011/12/how-to-tutorial-for-domain-mapping-and-wpml/
Even if you decide to use WPML on different installations you need to buy one license only for all your sites.

I reset and resent your login info from my personal email.
I am the developer for a public university. I was looking for a plugin to help us add spanish to our admissions website.
Public universities are non-profit.
I don’t know if there is a organization license that I can send to you. I can send a scan of my school ID if that will help.
I tried to use your non-profit form but it wouldn’t let me submit without attaching the org license.
Thanks for your help!!
We do offer complementary accounts for non profits:
http://wpml.org/purchase/non-profits/
Demand is high and there might be a bit of a queue there, but we handle every request.
Hello!
We would like to use the wpml on our website, but I don’t find our template on the “Theme compatibility” page. Can we use this plugin with Asteria Pro theme http://www.towfiqi.com/asteria-pro-wordpress-theme.html ?
Thanks for your help!
We have a program where theme authors can get their themes tested. You can refer your theme author to:

Hello!
Want to ask you about license upgrade.
Can i change my license after purchase ?
Thank you!
Found on Purchase Process page:
“You can also upgrade from the Blog version to the CMS version and pay just the difference.”
Can be Multilingual CMS be upgraded to Multilingual CMS Lifetime ?
Yes, you can upgrade from any package to any other ‘bigger’ package. When you do that, we only ask for the difference in the prices.

Yes, you only need to pay the difference. You will find the links to upgrade in your account page.

I’m looking for a language solution where users can switch between english and mandarin…is this possible with your plugin?
Yes, WPML lets you run a WordPress site in multiple languages, including English and Chinese. Please note that WPML doesn’t translate your content. It allows you to translate, or oursource to other translators.
Hi, If i purchase the CMS for 1 year and then would like to upgrade to the lifetime CMS, will I need to pay the full amount (195) or just pay the difference? Thank you
You can buy a yearly account now and upgrade to a Lifetime account later. When you do that, we only ask for the difference in the cost.
I need help with a problem with wpml and need to ask a question on the forum, but I cannot see a button to create a new question.

Do you have an account for WPML? If so, log in to your account. Then, go to the forum and refresh the page. It should allow you to post.
refreshing it will work, thank you

I mean if I have a page in french called http://www.wmpl.org/notre-entreprise, can I have one in english called http://www.wpml.org/our-company?
thank you!
Yes, this is exactly how WPML works. Have a look at examples on our site:

Hi Amir,
I’m looking for a plugin that can translate English to Tagalog can WPML do this? I’ve not been able to find one that does it well yet
Looking forward to your reply
Cheers
Mark
Sorry, but what is Tagalog? Is this a language?
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tagalog_language
WPML doesn’t come with such a language, but you can add it yourself. Then, you can translate to it.
WPML lets you run a WordPress site in multiple languages. You can translate, or send content offsite to translators. WPML doesn’t translate the content for you.
Does this help?
Thanks Amir for the quick reply, yes that helps I will take another look – if I have any other questions i’ll drop you a message

Hi WPML Team,
My question is can I use the Multilingual CMS Lifetime package for 2 separate websites, or I should purchase a package for each one of them.
Thank you in advance,
Teodora
You only need to buy once and you can use on all your sites and sites that you build for your clients.
Thanks, Amir,
I looked for the answer but didn’t have the patience to dig it. Thanks one more time.
Best,
Teodora

You can use WPML to add as many languages as you want to your WordPress site. WPML works fine with most other plugins and themes.
Hi,
I’d like to translate the text under my theme options and in plugins like Contact Form 7. I seem to recall that there’s an add-on plugin for this but I can’t find it on your site. Could you please point me in the right direction so I can purchase it? Many thanks.
Best regards,
JB
The easiest way to work with CF7 and WPML is to duplicate and translate the forms, per language. We explain how to do it here:
http://wpml.org/documentation/plugins-compatibility/using-contact-form-7-with-wpml/
I am using this on a clients website. He would like to own it, if I buy it using my credentials can I pass the license to him afterwards or does she have to do the purchasing process
We can do this for you. Only our admins can change account name and email. Let use know when it’s needed and we’ll handle it for you.
I’m creating a non-profit organization. I’ve already sent a message to you but had no answer. thank you
Hi, I’m looking to use WPML on a WooCommerce installation and I’d like to know if you fully support multi-currency transactions on the PayPal and Braintree interfaces.

We’ve tested multi-currency on PayPal and it’s working fine. It should work on any other payment extension, but we haven’t tested. WooCommerce sets the currency to the payment processor.
